Has anyone realized that this year's finals may feature Shaq Vs Kobe? Everyone is looking at the Kobe Vs LBJ match up...but I think shaq vs kobe is even more exciting due to all the externalities that surround it. What do yall think?
I think u just wasted a couple minutes of your life writing this. And wasted a thread. And so did I. Of course everyone realizes this. It's hard to miss a 7 foot black guy in a court with Kobe and lebron
Maybe a few years back, when Shaq was still an impact player and the feud was still going on. Now it's hard for Shaq vs Kobe to become a story unless Shaq fouls Kobe flagrant 2 style.
You're wrong. Kobe vs. LeBron is much more exciting than the age-old Shaq vs. Kobe. That got old 1 year after Shaq went to Miami.
But anyways....I see this. 7 seconds left in the 4th quarter of game 7. Cavs up by 1....96-95...inbound pass to Kobe. Lebron is playing him tight. Quick pick and roll by bynum. He cuts, and Now shaq and lebron double team Kobe, he pump fakes, both jump, 3,2...Kobe fades away. "buzz!!!!!!" nothing but net. Kobe goes crazy, lebron and shaq suck it....and Kobe is named greatest player ever. I get turned on just by reading this...:l
now now. If I was Ron Ron I would talk about what I would have done while Kobe was In the shower with steam coming out of him. Lmao.
if lebron and kobe make it to the finals im sure nike would devert the attention from shaq back to lebron and kobe with more puppet commercials.
In all seriousness, Shaq is still a handful when motivated. If the Cavs meet LA in the Finals the main story will be LeBron vs Kobe, but who honestly sees Shaq getting outplayed by Bynum/Gasol with a 5th ring, against Kobe at that, on the line? I don't. Those two looked like they didn't want any part of the Diesel when they played.
Totally agree. The Cavs might be the last team the Lakers want in the Finals. Not because simply of LeBron, or the Cavs' good defense. It is more for the reasons that the Cavs actually have a team that can neutralize all of the Lakers' bigs. Bynum/Gasol are more than formidable for most of the centers in the league, yet this season (and in past ones) both players looked like a deer stuck in the headlights against old Shaq (who looks like a bull with sharpen horns who just spotted a red cape when plays the Lakers). Honestly, he makes both of them look scrubs (together). I could only imagine, if he were in his early 30s or younger, he'd really make them look bad. For the Cavs, also add in Big Z who has actually played decent defense against the Lakers. J.J. Hickson and AV who are both quick defenders, not great, but can be a handful and scrappy. But most of all, if Shaq can do 40% of what he once did, he might be the reason the Cavs win the title, maybe even more so than LeBron.
I agree for the most part. I can't see these guys hanging with Shaq at all, and Kobe can due nothing to change that fact. How amazing would it be to see Lebron finally get over the hump as when MJ did against the Pistons when he went on to stomp the Fakers. I'd love to see that. Personally, I like Lebron and I hope that the kid has a great career. He's a player who deserves to win in my book.
