This was before my days and I am just curious. Everyone is ranting about Ming could end up like Bradly. Bradly was suppose to do this and suppose to do that, much like Ming is suppose to do.
So how was Shaq talked about? Was the same ranting said? Were there naysayers saying he would not change the game and dominate ... that he is a fat lardass and won't amount to anything?

Personally, I think we should go for Ming. There has not really been anything solid in the draft in the last few years in which a player can totally dominate, other than Duncan and Shaq and Garnett. I think he would be a good gamble.

I believe he will be picked, not for the gamble, but for the product marketing in China and throughout the US.

Also, as for a "conspiracy", I believe that us getting number one adds to it, more than taking it away. We have a rather large oriental base compared to say Chicago, Washington, or Golden State. New York would be way to obvious. Also, us getting picks 1 & 2???

gimp, Houston has a very large Asian population. I don't know that it is as large as the Bay area's but it is quite large.

Everyone knew Shaq was going to dominate. He did dominate. He always knew how to score, rebound, defend. He knew it all. But Phil taught hiw how to win, that's all.

Ming has a lot of questions. The fact that he hates lifting weights is alarming. I still vote for a trade.
