Shaq to east work in Rockets/Yao favor? Assuming that Shaq does get traded to the Heat, how much of an impact does it have on the Rokets? I think it will have a tremendous effect on them especially comes playoff time. It will take the pressure off Yao where he's in a good position to dominate his opponent or the game and making it easier for his teamates to work off of him. The only person he should worry about is Tim Duncan, but he have shown to put up good numbers against him so its not like Tim is able to stop Yao all the time. But its all up to Yao if he wants to be that dominance of a player, hes time is NOW. There's no reason why he can't with his kind of potential and the big diesel is on the decline ...please don't use that he's too soft or nice excuse. When you're 7 ft 5 and weigh 300+lb.,could shoot from the outside,have good mobility(for his hieght), good passing,good blocking,good free throw shooting,you have all the sign to become dominant. Sure his stamina and rebounding sux but that will improve with time. This up coming season is a true test to see what type of person he will become ....a great basketball player or a true super star player. In my eye anything less than a dominance performance by Yao in the next couple of season is a failure. C'mon Yao, don't disappoint me, everything is working in your favor and you have come too far.
Actually, Yao seems to get up for Shaq. We don't do as well against the other elite teams, but it was always a game we could win, when we played the Lakers this year, and became the marquis game, with Yao-Shaq 1 and 2 and ...
Don't put it all on Yao. IMHO T-Mac will be the leading shot taker and maker. He will be the face of our team. Don't expect Yao to suddenly become the aggressive player we all wish he was. Our pick and roll should kick ass this year. Yao Ming might dominate this year(I doubt it....great but not dominant) and will be the best center in the West for once. I just don't think this is the year for us. I don't think we should overpay for decent players or backups(this is just a sellers market this year...remember last year?). We WILL have holes. So be it. I would rather have holes next year than mortgage our future for crap. just my .02
most cases shaq brought the best out of yao....WHAT WE NEED HIM TO DO IS GET TRADED TO THE FREAKIN SLURS I MEAN SPURS LOL !!!!
