Not much of a theft. Shaq has way more star power. Outside of Phoenix, Dallas and Canada, who the heck would watch a Nash reality show?
Just the idea itself is not much of a theft, the theft part comes from the fact that Nash was already pitching this as a reality show. It's a bit more serious once you consider that. Shaq's lawyers certainly thought it was serious because Nash got those producer credits. You're right about Shaq having more drawing power though, Shaq just looks more impressive on the TV doing those other sports, Nash kind of looks like an everyman even though he is also a fantastic athlete by anyone's standards.
Nash should be happy Shaq stole his idea. I'm sure it will make more money with him starring in it than Steve Nash. The show might have been better with Nash but it wouldn't bring in as many viewers. Many non-NBA fans don't even know who the heck Nash is.
I think its funnier with Shaq. As much as I like Nash, who would you rather see swim against Phelps- Shaq or Nash?
In other news, Steve Nash will take the hotseat on who wants to be a millionaire tonight at 7. Money he wins goes to his charity.
I would love to see Daryl Morey on who wants to be a millionaire. +1 for the Nash show, a slow Shaq….eh not so much.
A Steve Nash reality show would be AMAZING!!!! Think of it, if he got Tom Brady on his show there would so much video of them passing!!
So he pretty much lied on Conan the other day. He said he came up with the idea with like his agent or something. No mention of Nash.
