On Sunday the Mavs tried fronting Shaq with a 7 footer with weakside help from another 7 footer. Do you think this strategy could work in the playoffs?

I think the Mavs were two 3ptrs away from a victory. If they hadn't shot so poorly from beyond the arc they would've had the Laker monkey off their back.

Well, I watched the game, and I guess it worked well. But keep in mind that Shaq will probably play better than he was on Sunday. So ... it worked last Sunday, but in the playoffs? I dunno!

Are you talking about bringing the weakside help while Shaq has the ball, or while he's still on the block? If you mean the latter, then that's a zone, and that won't work, especially with Kobe on the floor. One thing that Shaq has improved upon tremendously is his passing out of the low post. He'll feed Kobe, Horry, and Fisher for wide open jumpers all game long

I think the best strategy is to mix it up so Shaq isn't sure what is happening.

Shaq's not in the best shape of his life, and I would try to step on his toes a few times in the low post.

Shaq had what....31 points and 13 (5 offensive) boards, and only 2 turnovers Sunday? 12-20 FG. That's about what, 60%? I'd say it did NOT work. Call me crazy.....

Eddie "How I blocked Shaq" Griffin could work in the playoffs...
