    Tennis star Venus Williams condemned Shaquille O'Neal for remarks the Lakers center made recently on a Los Angeles radio station in which he said he slept with Williams – remarks O'Neal admitted Monday were not true and meant as a joke.

    "I categorically and unequivocally deny that I have ever had a sexual relationship with Shaquille O'Neal," Williams' statement began. "I don't even know him. I've only met Shaquille once a few years ago, when attending an L.A. Lakers game. If Shaquille made the statement as a joke, it was in very bad taste, and I am definitely offended. I think that he should use better judgment in the future, particularly where one's reputation is concerned."

    O'Neal told Los Angeles' Power 106-FM last week that he had slept with Williams, model Cindy Crawford and rap star Aaliyah. Crawford and Aaliyah also denied O'Neal claims.

    O'Neal said Monday on "Entertainment Tonight" that he had lied about his relationship with the three women as a joke and has since sent written apologies to the women. A spokeswoman for Williams said an apology letter had yet to arrive.

    Man Venus is right. Afterall, she does upstanding things like wasting people's money by not competing in tennis events. That really helps her reputation. She is SO classy herself! [​IMG]

    You have to admit, it was a bone head comment by Shaq. How he could even casually joke about something like that, I don't understand.

    I'm not going to say a joke like that isn't funny, but Shaq is somebody in the camera's eye, and he should have known how such a statment would be blown out of proportion and hurt people. Guys joke about this stuff all the time. Maybe it's in bad taste, but we do joke about it.....we just don't do it in the national spotlight. That was the difference.... and Elizabeth Hurley, if you listening, we've slept together.

    Why did Venus Williams find it necessary to put out a public statement concering a joke made by Shaq? Her ego is out of control.

    Very funny stuff from Shaq Daddy

    agree with TPL, by coming out and offically denying it, it just makes it more funny.

    Further to DoD point maybe it was Serena he slept with and maybe also Jamal Crawford and maybe he also slept with Allah [​IMG] and just got his words mixed up.

    Although I think that Venus Willaims is too full of herself, it was highly inappropriate for O'Neal to "joke" about something like sleeping with 3 women.

    Isn't it funny that whenever someone is caught lying or making stupid/immature comments, that the excuse invariably is that "I was joking" and is expected to be forgiven because of that?

    Just to be fair to Venus, Cindy and Aaliyah both put out statements saying they didn't sleep with him either. It's not like she's the only one that had a problem with those statements and the other two did nothing about it.

    I don't know what Shaq's talking about though, out of those 3 the only one that I find attractive is Aaliyah. He didn't even pick the best looking sister out of the Williams family. Serena's a hottie...

    Remember guys, we're talking about FM radio, where testosterone is high and you say stupid things to make yourself look cool.

    The only person that looks like an ass out of this situation is Shaq...

    How a Man with all that Money over $100 Million can go and lie on his D*Ck?? WOW! and those Women besides Aaliyah is not all that to lie about. Like the Fat Albert Cartoon... "No Class"

    Shaq has class. maybe sometimes he can be an idiot, but i was watching Shaq on espn the other day and they were talking about this deaf waterboy . when shaq noticed he wasnt around he asked someone where that dude was and they said that he had gotten fired, so shaq told the lakers to hire him back and he would pay his salary.

    another story i heard was when chick hearn was saying that there was this guy that worked in the staples center that had this old beatup car, and when they were in the parking lot shaq asked him if he took the freeway, he said yes, shaq said "come with me" , and shaq took him to some car dealership and bought him a $45,000 car.
