they don't need him. Perkins is much better than Shaq at this point.

They need someone to man the position while Perkins is recovering from his ACL injury.

Yeah. They need a lot of bodies in the frontcourt since they're all older except Big Baby. (Perkins won't be back until spring.)

I hope this gets done for the entertainment value alone.

The Big Cactus is now the Big Clover.

Shaq parked his car in Harvard yard.

No matter how old they get, they still are gonna contend for the title.

i think the finals showed exactly why they do need him...even at 38 he still has legit size and knows how to use it. He's wearing down, but he should be a solid back up as long as he doesnt suffer an actual injury or has one already that'll linger on.

There's alot of talk about boston being older...but for a while now they've done with Pop did the with the spurs...resting them, then letting them go all out when it counts, and it works, as long as they dont get injured. Allen is too good of an athlete and pro to fall off too much from last season,t eh next time he'll take a significant fall will be around 37. Pierce is still at a solid age at 32. Let's not forget Oneal is only 31. KG is having his issues, and he should as being the one with the most wear and tear, but this is where JO comes. I see him playing some PF behind KG because in certain matchups big baby is too short.

Pierce can still play like himself once or twice a week. KG and Ray are faint shadows of what they once were.

Their age is kind of offset by the fact that Rondo is still getting better. They still have that mental toughness that is lacking in other teams like Orlando.
