Shane needs to guard Kobe. He is the perfect mix of length, hustle, and humility. Shane has studied all the film, and I am assuming he got to play him a TON when he was on "Team USA". There is not a soul in the world that knows Kobe's game better than Shane. Watching this video makes me a believer, WE CAN DO IT! Ron is a very scary, and intimidating defender to go against, but Shane can quietly frustrate Kobe without getting him too cranky This leaves Ron to dominate Lamar, and focus on getting us good looks on offense. I think guarding Kobe, AND trying to score 20 points on him, is asking too much. We will need the points more so than ever in this series, so let Battier do what he does best and better than anyone. Let him guard Kobe... And for good measure and good luck!
shane's played great since game 2 and is peaking mentally and physically at the right time he'll consider this series versus Kobe one of the epic series of his life. I'm sure he, artest and kobe are all 3 chomping to get at it
Sorry, dude. Kobe in the playoffs is on a whole another level from the regular season and All-star practice sessions. Shane is going to get destroyed. I hope they break out the Jordan Rules on Kobe and lay him out on the ground. The refs are going to call ticky tack fouls to protect Kobe. If the Rockets are going to get called for the foul, they need to make the foul hard enough so the shot doesn't go in.

I agree, Shane has come alive in this series and made some serious clutch plays to keep us in it. His bball I.Q. was really on display last night. Coach K taught him well! 5 stars
