I did not translate anything. The blog was in English, with Chinese translation below. And in the other osts on that blog, yo have photos of Shane Battier and his wife in Beijing. These photos were not included in previous sina.com gallery, and seems to be taken and posted by someone else.
i'd suggest you hold your rolling eyes. it's annoying. ElPigto MISTAKENLY thought you translated the piece. big deal. if anything, you should take that as an accompliment, since most here know you for that (great job! btw).
I think it is fake. May as well be someone from Peak who want to promote their shoes. I didn't know Peak was the largest shoe company in China. I can only think of LiNing when talking about Chinese brand sneakers.
Yeah, thanks man. It was a mistake, since I know you translate most things from Sina. I should of known better though since I know Shane doesn't type or speak chinese/mandarin, but it's cool man.
I think Shane went easy on the big words because these blog entries are meant to appeal to his Chinese fans and ultimately sell his PEAK shoes; that's what it sounds like since he's emphasizing it
I don't know if anyone else still remembers this. During last night's game, Matt Bullard commented Shane Battier is extremely well liked by David Stern. He said Stern couldn't contain his effusive praises for Battier especially when it comes to Battier representing NBA as an "ambassador" to the world (this past summer). Bullard speculated Stern is looking to make Battier his heir apparent, so much so that the commissioner holds onto the position only to wait for Battier to retire as a player and poise to take over the throne. I guess this cannot be bad news for Rockets fans. All we need to do is to keep Battier until he finishes his career here.
I thought that comment by the announcers was interesting as well, wnes. Battier seems to have a politician's ability to answer questions in a non-confrontational way. I can absolutely see him as some sort of head figure for the organization in the future. Just because his writing style seems odd, are we sure that these blogs are real?
I with ya on this one. The article didn't mention super duper even once. If it was shane, he woulda said my new Peak shoes are super duper, but he didn't...so its a fake.
You'll never know........... The more I read these blog posts, the more I thought they were genuine contributions from Shane Battier. Yeah he might be fond of using big super-duper words or American slangs, but he has to be worried that if he used too many such big Amercian words or slangs, the Chinese translators over at sina.com might have difficulty to understand them and in turn scr@wed up in the translation. As such, his English is kept as simple as possibly can.....but surely in between the lines, you can vividly and visually feel .........this is the very loyal, honest, down-to-earth and hardworking, good-citizen Shane.
