Shandon's Trade Value

    It depends on when and what we use to sign him.

    If we sign shandon to a FA contract while we are under the cap, then we can trade him for anything within 15% of his contract value.

    If we wait until we are over the cap, and sign him to another early bird contract equal to the league average (which Shandon's agent has already said won't be enough) he will be BYC and his trade value would only by 50% of the league average (I' guessing the leaugue average will be around $5-$6Mil. No advanatge there.

    A sign & trade cannot be executed using the mid level exception, so thats out.

    Not too many advantages if you ask me.

    The advantage to Shandon is simple interest of 12.5% raise versus 10% raise.

    Is there any bonus in Sign n trade with
    Shandon instead of just letting him go
    if he demands too much?
