In his last 5 games Anderson has put up not so "Shandon-like" numbers. <CENTER><TABLE BORDER ALIGN="center"><TR><TD><P ALIGN=Center></TD><TD><p align=center>GM</TD><TD><p align=center>MIN</TD><TD><p align=center>FG%</TD><TD><p align=center>3PT%</TD><TD><p align=center>FT%</TD><TD><p align=center>REB</TD><TD><p align=center>AST</TD><TD><p align=center>STL</TD><TD><p align=center>BLK</TD><TD><p align=center>TOs</TD><TD><p align=center>PTS</TD></TR><TR><TD><P ALIGN=Center>TOTAL</TD><TD><P ALIGN=Center>5</TD><TD><P ALIGN=Center>29.40</TD><TD><P ALIGN=Center>.357</TD><TD><P ALIGN=Center>.250</TD><TD><P ALIGN=Center>.500</TD><TD><P ALIGN=Center>3.20</TD><TD><P ALIGN=Center>1.80</TD><TD><P ALIGN=Center>1.00</TD><TD><P ALIGN=Center>0.60</TD><TD><P ALIGN=Center>2.00</TD><TD><P ALIGN=Center>4.80</TD></TR></TABLE></CENTER> I definitely feel for the man. Losing one's mother is tough to deal with. I just hope he can cope with it and eventually get back to performing like the Shandon of old. ------------------ "I have a DREAM.........his name's Hakeem." If they would pass him the ball or let him play then maybe he would do something. The loss of his mother I think still will have an affect for a while. ------------------ Lets Tank it Baby!
Remember how long it took him last year to get into his game?? he was putting awesome numbers at the end of last season. It may just take him a long time. ------------------
shandon and anyone else will be affected by the loss of their moter forever. this might be the reason to his subpar play, but i doubt it.
I still don't understand what Rudy was doing. Kobe was going off and Shandon was on the bench. He is the only guy on the roster that has a chance of stopping him. ------------------ In order to be a success in life, you need 2 things: 1. Don't tell everything you know.
don't get me wrong i want shandon to do well but i think the rockets shouldn't be the most important thing to him right now. he needs time to cope and deal with the loss so the last thing he needs is people talking about his numbers. i want the rockets to do well but i think shandon's emotion is of upmost importance right now. every person needs time to cope with something like this and that has to be understood. i just hope the media etc doesn't jump all over his back about it. i'm sure right now he is realizing how little importance the game of basketball is compared to family ------------------ Shane "Save Our Rockets" "Life without basketball in Houston........without an arena that is what it will be"
Okay, I'm a huge Anderson supporter. I love all the different things he brings to the court each night. But, this is starting to worry me. Here's how he's done in the past eleven games. It's no longer an aberration, or a misunderstanding betweem teammates, this is a full blown slump. One that will need more than just one good game to convince me it's over with. <CENTER><TABLE BORDER ALIGN="center"><TR><TD><P ALIGN=Center></TD><TD><p align=center>GM</TD><TD><p align=center>MIN</TD><TD><p align=center>FG%</TD><TD><p align=center>3PT%</TD><TD><p align=center>FT%</TD><TD><p align=center>REB</TD><TD><p align=center>AST</TD><TD><p align=center>STL</TD><TD><p align=center>BLK</TD><TD><p align=center>TOs</TD><TD><p align=center>PTS</TD></TR><TR><TD><P ALIGN=Center>TOTAL</TD><TD><P ALIGN=Center>11</TD><TD><P ALIGN=Center>25.73</TD><TD><P ALIGN=Center>.400</TD><TD><P ALIGN=Center>.188</TD><TD><P ALIGN=Center>.500</TD><TD><P ALIGN=Center>3.27</TD><TD><P ALIGN=Center>1.55</TD><TD><P ALIGN=Center>0.73</TD><TD><P ALIGN=Center>0.36</TD><TD><P ALIGN=Center>1.73</TD><TD><P ALIGN=Center>4.27</TD></TR></TABLE></CENTER> He hasn't had one single game in double-digit points, rebounds, or assists in that time. ------------------ "I have a DREAM.........his name's Hakeem." How can you call this a slump???!!!It's kind of hard to score in double digits when you dont shoot the ball enough times to score 10 points. The only reason shandon isnt scoring is because he isnt shooting. He said it best that he needs to get his own points off misses and the fast break and I saw him try to do that yesterday. With the scorers we have on this team I dont think Shandons scoring average should be a concern. As long as he keeps shutting down the opposing teams best player like he has been I'll be happy. ------------------ www.truebballfansite.homestead.com
