I wonder what were we afraid of? Some stated he did not like the 3 spot I think he is more a natural 3 than a 2. Maybe he just been out of position. I think we could be near Mike Finley With more D than O. I think he has found his Niche. Rocket River ------------------
I'm right there with you. I thought all along our best lineup Included Francis, Mobely and Shandon. j ------------------
You're right. He seems to be thriving there. I still think he's undersized for that position, which hurts vs. the bigger 3s (Marshall, Odom, Jamison, etc.). But the current small lineup seems to be working, for the most part. Plus Walt's struggles neccessitated some sort of move, and we don't have another legitimate defensive 3 outside of Langhi. ------------------ "Thirty-seven?" -Randall, Clerks www.clutchtown.com
Yeah, he is, but with the lack of 3s who can post up, Shandon will be OK. The only ones to really fear at the 3 are 'Reef , G Robinson, KG, and Jamison due to their post up abilities, and more importantly, strong boards. But Shandon's strong and smart enough to handle it. ------------------ "ON-BEE-TAH-BULL!!", Hakeem Abdul Olajuwon, alumnus, University of Houston
The Rocks have been winning and Shan's numbers are better at the 3 so I think its obvious the move was a smart one. ------------------ Ceo of the Walt Williams fan club. Web site coming soon atheistalliance.org
He's a great slashing SF his jumper is not all world but d*mn decent [READ CONSISTANT!] Rocket River ------------------
I'm happy to see Shandon produce at the 3, especially since it takes away from Walt's playing time. That's why I personally don't think we need a 3 as badly as other ppl on this board think. I really hope that whatever this deal is it will help secure the inside presence of the team. We have enough slashers and shooters, we need some toughness in the middle. Anyway, I like Shandon at the 3 and I hope they don't change the backcourt anytime soon. ------------------ "I am clearly more popular than Reagan. I am in my third term. Where's Reagan? Please tell me you're making that up. Speaking of Shandon, it's going to be an interesting game tonight, SA going against his old team in his new role/position. I'm still looking for him to have that breakout game against the Jazz. C'MON SA!! LET IT BE TONIGHT!! ------------------ "ON-BEE-TAH-BULL!!", Hakeem Abdul Olajuwon, alumnus, University of Houston
Shandon is better off at the 3, he's not the great shooter but at 3 he's a slasher that can really help Stevie and Cuttino. It's like having a three gaurd combo. I like it! ------------------ the Heat suck!!
