I think everyone including myself is getting a little high on Jefferson because of his performance yesterday. Look forward to seeing how he does versus Duke in the championship game tomorrow. Still, it was just one game. Jefferson is athletic and plays with energy, but he's not known for his defense. I'm not saying that he can't be a good defender, but I don't think anyone who hasn't watched him over the years can say much about that. I think it's a little premature to say he'd contribute more to the Rockets than Shandon. They play on two different levels. If Jefferson comes out of Arizona this year I select him with one of our late 1st round picks. This guy is so much better than Anderson he's bigger, more athletic, better offensive game and oh yeah a better defender. We say Shandon's a good defender but how many times has he completely shutdown a really good player. (Stackhouse over 40 pts on Anderson and Stojanovich 30 pts). Jefferson shut the best shooting guard down in college basketball 2for11 shooting. ------------------
Theres one thing that you guys don't see Shandon has experience and thats valuable to a team that hasn't made the playoffs before except Dream, Walt(always was a bench player at Portland), Bullard and Cuttino(1 year). I would like to add him to the team no doubt but not if it means losing Shandon. ------------------

Really? I was thinking more of Finley if I were asked to compare Jefferson to anyone. Jefferson is a fantastic prospect. But I wouldn't look for him to be available in the latter part of the draft, not with the Tournament he's had. Do you realize that he's played strong D on a PG (Williams from Illinois) in one game and on a SG (Richardson), both sure future 1st rounders, in the next? ------------------
I'm not sold on Jefferson yet. Who knows... he may be the next great thing... but I want to see a bit better of a jump shot before I get on the band wagon. Remember another great defensive player with terrific athleticism that didn't make it big?
