KD should be relatively low cost to acquire and provides a major need for this team in terms of scoring and shooting while aging very well…moderate injury risk, but he’s not a Zion/Ja/Kawhi

I’m in favor of trading for him

The Rockets do have interest in Kevin Durant but it's tempered because of his age... They won't overpay for him. Suns fans seem to think they get a handful of prospects and all their picks back and my understanding is that is not going to happen.

He might be the piece that's missing, in fact, I know he is, but given his 38 years of age we can trade FVV as the main piece and one of their pick. Thats it.

The highest bidder wins and IMO it won't be the Rockets.

No. This is an auction for the Suns.

Keeping this core and adding KD makes this team a contender.

At the right price, it's a no brainer. Rockets need someone to make plays to close out games.

If the Rockets don't want to trade Jalen in this scenario, then they pretty much need to pick up FVV's option or give him some slightly less but still big salary to make the matching work. Otherwise the salary matching is going to be brutal in any KD trade and almost certainly require Jalen Green.

I think the odds are good. Kd likes going to the team that beat him last.

Brooks, Sheppard, Landale, and Holiday to match salaries.

Want your picks back? Too bad, Phoenix.

Somebody else beats that offer they can have KD. I don't care. Dude is about to turn 37 years old.

You can make the salaries work with the players I listed above. Only every game rotation player you lose is Brooks.

But we shouldn't trade for him at the price they'll likely demand.

From what I witnessed this Eason watching the suns( and our prospective draft pick) what trade we make for JD, we need a real floor general(an upgrade from FVV) and defenders because KDs defense has been bad. This ain’t a simple plug and play like it was with GSW. One thing we learned with KD through his career is becaue rh doesn’t take a leadership role with his quad, things can fall apart quickly. So we need leaders in the house who also will play(sorry Uncle Jeff) . GSW had Draymond, Steph and Iggy.

Sengun and Jalen haven’t demonstrated themselves to be leaders yet. They still get benched at the end of games that are competitive. Kd ain’t coming here for that.

Dude is a max salary player with a minimum effort D reputation. I can't see Udoku wanting KD ... at least not starter minutes. A KD to Rockets trade will have to be a salary dump with little to no real value going back to the Suns who will be relieved that they don't have to pay KD anymore.
