Shameless! Yep, shameless I tell ya! Shayme? I can't even spell the word! The mighty mighty Dukes of Houston, the gutbucket blues band with the Bayou City tone, will be crankin' the earth-shaking, life-enhancing blues for two shows this weekend: Saturday October 23rd we will be performing at Cosmos Cafe, located at Heights Blvd. and Washington Avenue. Show starts at 9PM, and we will be playing multiple sets until midnight at the earliest. Cosmos has good food, stiff cocktails and a nice outdoor patio. C'mon & cheggidout! Sunday October 24th we will be performing our sunset/supper show at the Zydeco Kitchen, located at 1300 Broadway in Pearland. Show runs from 4:30 PM until 7:30 PM out on the patio, and it is always a good time playing there. Zydeco Kitchen has some of the best Cajun food in Houston, so bring your appetite, liver and party persona down to Pearland this Sunday! I'm gonna try to remember to swing by Saturday evening. I've never been to the Cosmos Cafe before, unless driving by it counts.
I've only been to the Cosmos one time, but I do remember the food being good. And I can vouch for the food at Zydeco, having recently seen the Dukes there. As for the Dukes, they're a cool band. (Y'all probably knew I was gonna say that). The harmonica player is a load of fun; the bass player lays down a nice groove; the drummer is solid; and they have some guy that plays guitar .
Cosmo's is right next door to Hickory Hollow, and once again, RMT is playing near my house. I hope I can make it to the show -- droxford
Yeah, I know him. Drunken Assclown. Once kept me up all night partying, the sumbitch. But he does play guitar pretty good...for a doofus!
