The shamelessness of this plug is hopefully mitigated by the fact that 1. the software I'm plugging is free, and 2. I'm not affiliated with it in any way. That said, I was reading CaseyH's computer monitor rant thread, which reminded me of a nifty little program I discovered several years ago for cycling my wallpapers. You have to understand that I really like having gorgeous desktop backgrounds, so I have rather a lot of them... around 900 active ones at the moment, although I have a few thousand more archived. With that many cool walls, I needed some kind of program that would cycle through them, otherwise I was just never going to see the majority of them... took too much time to be setting new ones manually all the time. The need for such a program is actually less now, since Windows 7 has some minimal features for wallpaper cycling built in. But I still like me my Wallpaper Cycler Lite. You can do some pretty nifty things with it. Categorize your walls, add folders recursively, create hotkeys for changing wallpaper on the fly, and set it to cycle your walls in any interval between one second and sixty years (although why you would download a program to change your wallpaper only once every sixty years, I really don't know). Anywho, if you have a boatload of walls like I do, I'd recommend it. And while I'm here, I may as well post a few of the walls I'm liking at the moment. Feel free to post your own. I'm always looking for good ones. Maybe this can be a general "cool wallpaper" thread. Cheers.
