I think every team would like to have Harden.

Yup but now that media narrative is going to be pushing this all offseason.

4 first rounders and 3 pick swaps and he's yours.

Morey knows that Harden controls his own destiny. He can convince Harden to request a trade to Philly. At that point the Rockets would be forced to either have a disgruntled player or offload him for the best offer they can get

if tilman had a more advanced brain than a hyena (which he actually resembles in appearance as well) he'd instruct mouthpiece feigen to report that HOU is expected to be interested in and pursue thybulle, milton, richardson, and even korkmaz -- to compliment wilt harden on the court. plus sam cassell from the bench

Question is, what are we getting back, if they do trade him...as a starter I am taking Simmons, a ton of draft picks (through 2026). Obviously that doesn’t match salarywise so they would have to throw in Horford or Harris as well.

    Harden for:

    Embiid - Richardson - Thybulle - Korkmaz - 3 future 1st round picks

    Or GTFO Morey

I'm not gonna pretend that I know Harden, but from everything I've gathered in his time here, he doesn't seem like the type that would split on Westbrook after one year.

Let's start with Ben Simmons + the #1 overall pick in the draft. Close to fair value?

Start with Embiid and we’ll see how many picks and young guys we want as well.

I like Embiid a lot but the injuries Scare me more with a big man. I know Simmons has had his share of injuries as well.

    Id accept a deal that
    -gets Russ out of town
-brings Simmons, Thybulle, Richardson to Htown.
-brings in 3 firsts with one of them being a top 5 this year.

This is Morey & Brand's effort to communicate not to the Rockets, but to Harden. They want Harden to be the one to call Tillman, and tell him he prefers to play in Philly... so please don't make me go public, and cause drama.

I was fully expecting this move, and wouldn't be shocked if more teams use the media to try and communicate to Harden that he should ask for a trade.

Also will be funny to see, now that Harden will possibly be AVAILBLE, how all these other teams suddenly stop talking crap about Harden, and suddenly are his biggest fan.

I would seriously consider Embiid + Simmons for Harden + Gordon. Then flip Westbrook for expiring contracts and future draft picks.

Morey knows better than anyone that Embiid's window is actually pretty damn small for a big man with his injury history. Harden is a much better fit as a playmaker to fit alongside Embiid, and Horford is a GREAT small ball 5 who would play well with Harden.

For the Rockets, it's not about Ben Simmons as much as its about Westbrook who would be the worlds worst fit alongside Simmons as a young franchise cornerstone. If I'm the Rockets, I only do this deal if Philly helps out ALOT to unload Westbrook to a 3rd team in a subsequent or large 3/4 team deal.

But what if Westbrook really wants to go to the Clippers? He is an LA kid. So we can totally turn into a rebuild next season of Harden wants to go to Philly.
