For some reason I decided to pick up a box of Shake n Bake after seeing it in the store the other day. I can't remember if I've even tried it before, but tonight I did.

That stuff ain't half bad! I can't believe I've been ruining chicken this long. I'll be baking my chicken in this stuff from here on out.

OMG! You're just now trying this stuff out? Yes, it is awesome and a lot healthier than deep frying chicken. They're are several different flavors and even glazes too.

I think I tried the bar-b-q version awhile back and didn't like it. Tonight I tried the original and thought it was really good. I used chicken tenders, not the boneless breasts.

i simply hate grilled chicken (unless its cut up and put into other stuff) so shake n' bake is a decent healthier alternative.

I did and didn't care for it.

Of course I'm from Kentucky where fried chicken and incest rule the throne.

Even better is make your own.....

Coat each chicken piece with Progresso Italian Bread Crumbs.
Season each piece with a little garlic powder, black pepper and paprika.
Bake at 350 degrees for an hour, center rack (middle of the oven).
Halfway through, turn chicken pieces and season the other side.

Chicken comes out crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.

    Mmmm-mmmm-good! :D

The BBQ is okay, it's a little strong. The Pork Chop mix is also pretty good. I like to add a little chili powder and sometimes some dried chopped onions to the mix. It gives it a little different flavor.

I don't eat fried chicken anymore...except for the once every couple of months bowl from KFC(when I'm short on time and just don't care),but I too had plenty of Shake n Bake as a kiddo.

THAT was finger lickin good.I remember we used to eat the mix as my Mom would throw it together.

Somehow my mom usually messed up shake n bake. it seemed like one side of the chicken was never done all the way and the breading was all gooey.

    Sounds like my situation.

I think crushed crackers are a good alternative, or bread crumbs.
