Well You tell me , I just looked at his stats from this year on one of the his new 2001 basketball cards and I was impresed for what he did when he got the minutes , Plus scoring 35 points twice couldn't hurt when his previous high was like 20 . I think our backcourt is solidified , so what if we dont get a decent 3 , I think we could make playoffs this year

No actually, Ive known all along that Andersons got game. He's a proven all around player. He's a team player. He proved last year he can score when needed. Quite effortlessly I might add. Now with his fg% maybe he should shoot instead of pass more often. Yes, I BELIEVE we will make the playoffs. In fact will be running for them. Just maybe running through them. And Anderson will be right there.

I agree with you guys, we definetly have to keep him on this team. The thing is, stats dont really show how valuable he is to the team, he plays great defense and runs the court so well, and the guy finishes. I think thats what I like about him most. When he drives, go ahead and count it, cause he will finish. I love the guy and hope he gets his due when his contract is up, he certainly earned it in my mind

Quality team players are horribly underrated in our "hype-driven" league of today. Shandon is the real deal, and easily the most underrated and underappreciated player on our team, IMHO.

Heh, the reason his FG% is so high is because he's a smart player, and he doesn't force up shots. Now agreed, maybe he should work to up his scoring this season, but the day he starts hucking the ball up at every opportunity is the day his stock plummets...

... and the day he ceases to be a "team player"

Dude, did you see any games last year? don't get me wrong, I love Shandon's game, but watching him drive to the hole, in traffic, last season was just plain SCARY. He would always try to do this half-post-up-half-spin-move manuver when he got into the lane. And he would almost always lose the ball.
The only way Shandon could drive was off of someone else's (steve/cuttino) abilty to draw his man away, leaving him with a pretty open lane.

AstroRocket I saw what u are talking about but to his defense you also recall how at the beginning of the yr. he pretty much looked lost out there and towards the end as the system sank in he started to actually score more consistently , also his shooting got much better compared to the beginning of the season. I remember him being asked if he was on a slump and he admitted to it but hes did not last as long as Walt's....
