Surprised we are working out somebody that is considered a poor defender. Seems like a reverse Ryan Bowen with offensive skills instead of defensive skills.

JVG can make anyone a good defender. Matt Walsh can shoot and would be a upgrade over Dion Glover.

NBAdraft.net can make any scrub sound like the next NBA star.

So are we working someone out because we are going to cut glover, or are we looking at a 2 for 1 where we lose derek anderson and will need a back up 3?

    I could see both materializing.

no kidding that's why they need to either get rid of the comparisons or don't compare kids who will never end up playing a lot in the nba to a former all-star like chris mullin! it's obvious walsh is never going to be as good as mullin, so why even make that comparison...matt bullard sounds more like it. :p

I think there are thinking about cutting Dion Glover because he is injured and his contract is not guarnteed. They could reach a injury settlement.

that is true. I've read that crap and thought everyone is the next michael jordan or something.

    Qyntel Woods' comparison was Tmac
    Speedy was Iverson
and a bunch of others. As we all know they turned about to be qyntel the dog fighting proponent and speedy turned out to be iverson-lite on a diet while doing jenny craig eating weight watchers.

We do need a backup SF because Sura and Glover are out, and Bowen sucks. Bowen's my pet peeve this year. Sure, he'll chase down one loose ball every game, but he's not a lockdown defender, he's not a good rebounder, and he #$%*s up our offense because no one has to guard him.

Matt Walsh wouldn't last 24 hours playing for JVG, in my opinion. He's the anti-Chuck Hayes.

Don't forget the Eddie Griffin-Tim Duncan comparison, and my personal favorite: Bostjan Nachbar NBA Comparison: Peja

I like Elitedraft.net a lot better, they have much more in-depth profiles for a lot of players and give a optimistic and pessimistic NBA comparison.

They don't have a profile for Walsh but...

    Optimistic Outlook: Casey Jacobson
    Pessimistic Outlook: Luke Recker

Yeah. If only we could trade Ryan for Bruce.

Did Sura's scouting report mention how prone he is to falling in a faint?
