Steve is exactly what this team needs.

    Look at BD for GS.

He was here with Mobley for Splash weekend(black gay pride)here in Houston. Just kidding, on a serious note, I would like to gamble and get Francis back over here. It seems like that's when he played with the most heart out of anytime in his career, well that time and the first week when he was with Orlando. Remember that first week with Orlando, dude was SICK. Had the crazy dunks, clutch shots, all OVER Sportscenter. I was like, maybe we shoulda kept him over Tmac. But all in all, Tmac is 100% a better turnout. If we get Steve back, wow, it would be fun, but only with a new coach as well...

Steve is not anywhere near BD level.

Steve would have to stand on his tippy toes just to sniff BD's butt crack.

For the record, Bob Sura was there too. I met with the Rowdies and heypartner after the game and he was waiting near the women's restroom and was taking pics with fans, I wanted to, but he was there as a spectator. He looked scruffy, like a lead singer from an alternative band. His date WAS FREAKING HAWT though.

He has Baron Davis' talent just not his discipline. With the right coach Steve can still be a great player, a Baron Davis-type player.

i remember in his last year in houston, there was an article in houston that was about how steve was giving advice to a frustrated BD on how to work w/ discipline .
    how things have changed.
i think he would have helped.
although defensivley he is not better than rafer, at least he can create and hit jumpers.

Man... I remember one year there was a story in the preseason about Baron Davis, after having an injury prone season, having slimmed down after Steve Francis referred Baron to his nutrionist-- so that he could be good like Steve.

    How things have changed.

If Steve gets his wheels fixed, he is what this team needs... dribble penetration. This team has two guys who can draw the defense, and a number of 3 pt shooters who can punish teams who don't rotate correctly... but if you can double team AND recover somewhat correctly, the Rockets will struggle because they don't have a 3rd move to counter that...

What the Spurs and the Suns have are guys who can dribble past you if you are flying at them at the 3 point line and create havoc some more... The Rockets generally only create havoc once... if you stop that and you rotate out to the shooters, you stop them... when the Spurs kick it out off double teams, they can make some Js, but guys like Manu and Parker will penetrate again and again until the opponent finally makes a mistake on rotaton.

If Steve could cut down on ball-hogging and he could be the right guy at PG for us after JVG is gone. Turn him loose and let him go to the hole. The only question is how he could co exist with t-mac, they both need to have the ball.
