Not really. . . because it is her doing it
Kind of like charging a suicide attempt with Attempted Murder.

Its different when someone else does it . . .esp against your will or without your knowlegde

This is why no tolerance is horrible.
These kids will have their lives ruined just because of this.

I mean it seems like everyone in the incident is a scumbag. Cheating BF, ex that knows her ex-bf is with a new girl, and the GF who sends everyone her's BF's ex's nudes to shame her. But still. They don't deserve to get their lives ruined because of this.

what a bunch of keeners, ey. the boyfriend should be convicted for receiving the original pictures of his ex.

those kids from SKINS would not last in Canada!

    Devil's Advocate:
So we allow this girl . .. to ruin the Ex's new girlfriend life by posting these kind of pictures .. . .
we allow cyber bullying for some

The problem these days is . .. mistakes made in 1953 may hurt in the local area [reputation and embarrassment etc.] People could outrun them and things are forgotten
In 2013 there are global and permanent. They cannot be undone.

More damage means more punishment . . .

Agreed, this is a serious crime with huge consequences for the ex. Her family, friends and everyone else have access to the picture and she can't do anything about it, this will haunt her.

Yes they're all not adult yet, but you know of the punishment/consequences of a crime like this.

I'm with RR and Yung-T. I think that this type of behavior and violations of people's privacy has gotten too easy and there should be some consequences to this. I don't think the girl's life should be ruined with a severe jail sentence but some punishment (community service, probation, fines) should be imposed to deal with this.

Even while I agree with you I doubt a punishment will make a huge difference. One thing about teenagers is that they don't think about consequences.

Community service and a fine is a slap on the wrist for spreading private photos of another person regardless of age imho.

Yeah, but call it what it is and let the political process decide. What that girl did was not spreading child p*rnography. I don't know about Canada. Being convicted of a sex crime like that would ruin her life in the US. This is BS.
