Sessions Will Test Free Agency Ramon Sessions | Bucks http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/feat...ttp://insider.espn.go.com/nba/features/rumors I know we have Brooks and Lowry but does anyone think that this would be any sort of an upgrade over either or both? Maybe we could pick him up and use one of the other 2 in a trade for another star or to unload Tracy's contract. If anyone has ESPN insider access they can provide the whole story... Sorry guys
i assume you mean at the expense of letting Ron go. Cause we couldn't afford both. (If we could, the Bucks would have re-signed him)
Sessions and/or Charlie V are prime SnT candidates. Is either/are both an upgrade over Landry and/or Lowery? Because a deal could be made. Add Cook and Alexander (the disappointing rookie not the owner) and a deal might be effectable. (Look that word up in your F&W's!)
ESPN Insider's rumors section is generally nothing more than a daily newspaper scan. In this case, they just took the same headline from the Reno Gazette Journal. Sessions will test free agency http://www.rgj.com/article/20090527/SPORTS06/90527006/1018/SPORTS Sessions is a restricted free agent... meaning Bucks can match any offer he receives.
Sessions is interesting. He's basically a taller version of Lowry, offensively, from what I've seen. I don't know much about his defense. Like Lowry, his weakness is outside shooting. Lowry is better than Brooks but if we are able to get Sessions, Lowry seems like the more logical guy to trade. Start Sessions and let Brooks come off the bench as a scoring point.
He is an RFA,which is going to make it hard to get him. I like his passing ability. He is better at that than Lowry and Brooks.
Sure he'll help, but how much of an upgrade is he over Lowry? And he is a RFA. So the Bucks could easily match any offer.
I wonder how they feel about him. It seems like he was treated like Lowry in Memphis. Maybe they would be willing to let him go. I have no idea.
Use him to unload McGrady's contract? We can get a better deal for a guy on a bad team, yet poorly coached team. This would be like going after Mike James when he was with Toronto.
Well then maybe I should change it to, would anyone consider packaging something and attempt to trade for Sessions? Maybe go for RJ and Sessions??? I totally forgot that he was a RFA. Duh.
I just read a meaningless comment on YouTube that Portland might go after him on draft day. I wonder if that's true. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/Lqlm0-WpMiA&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/Lqlm0-WpMiA&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
I wouldn't mind packing out Wafer for him. Maybe a sign and trade but if too much money is involved it wouldn't be worth it. Maybe Sessions can play SG for us.
Why would you want a naturally gifted PG whose biggest weakness is the outside shot playing the 2 guard role? He should have the ball in his hands making plays. I really like this guy from what I've seen. I'd be pretty excited if we got him somehow. Physically, he reminds me a lot of Jerryd Bayless.
He's great at the PG but if we also needed a spark off the bench he can create his own shot, if it's not there than his natural passing skills will help. With Yao and/if Artest is still on the team I would think this would be best since most of our plays starts with Yao.
I hear you but if we somehow land Sessions, I'd start the dude at PG and let Brooks or Lowry come off the bench. Brooks, for example, would be in his comfort zone as a scorer off the bench, not having to worry as much about running the offense through Yao. I'd actually be happy letting Artest walk if we could get Sessions. Brooks and Wafer would provide plenty of backcourt scoring off the bench. Lowry and Wafer would also be just fine.
How would you guys feel if Morey expresses interest then Portland steps in and swoops up Sessions with a better offer?
Sessions was great last season. He kinda reminds of Gilbert Arenas that he was an unknown then exploded on the scene. I hope Portland does not get him.
