I cant see why the AB0 of Rox will be less successful than the CP3 of Hornet in the future? Building AB0,give him confidence, there is no reason why AB0 will be any less than CP3 . OH,a future giant in AB0. I have another word to say,can RA develop YAO to shot mid range from the free throws. That will be awesome, and I dont why he cant .
IMO he just doesnt have the size and thats about it.. hence why we use Rafer to gaurd the bigger pgs....
Brooks does not have the height to be Chris Paul. I hate to say it, too, but he doesn't quite have the skill set either. Chris Paul is a hall-of-fame-type rare player. Aaron Brooks impresses me more and more though. He has such quick speed and great court vision. I just wish he would stop and pop more. I say once Battier comes back, start Brooks and Battier, and bring Artest off the bench.
Can't start Brooks with Yao, Scola, Artest, and McGrady on the court. If that happens, it negates what AB does best, and that's scoring. All the aforementioned players require their touches. AB would be limited to what he could do. Keep him coming off the bench. I love the spark be brings.
Get real. I've been supporting Brooks from day one but CP3 will go down as one of the greatest PGs in league history. Brooks is nowhere near the playmaker that Paul is. At the same time, we are lucky to have him. Not only is he a good player but he will also push Alston to pick it up and give us an option off the bench when Rafer is sucking.
brooks is a nice, nice player but paul has strength, ball handling, and decision making that brooks just doesn't have. i think brooks has 6th man of the year potential and could be a solid 15-17ppg scorer over his career.
Agreed. I don't know if the OP sees Paul play, but the guy is an amazing basketball player. He has Brooks' scoring ability with some of the best vision and decision making you could find in a point guard. And, he's got size. And he's still young. And we have to play him 4 times a year (damn).
paul is about 2x the size of brooks so he doesnt get pushed around, and he's a little more explosive. plus he's better at floaters, finishing, and setting players up.
Chris Paul is just ridiculously good. The most amazing stat of all -- he's leading the league in assists AND he averages the same number of steals as turnovers.
