You won't be seeing Strawberry, Dorsey, and most likely, Brooks in the fourth, so no need to worry. Brooks won't be finishing fourth quarters.
Our 2nd/3rd unit happened. Holy cow relax its a preseason game, we're still experimenting and practicing.
"It's Preseason!" I do agree somewhat because it was such an issue last season even with all the starters in. But like I said, it's preseason. I find it pretty hilarious how everyone on the Thunder was going ape ***** as the game was ending. I guess they have to find some solace out of what is going to be a dismal season. PJ Carlesimo was coaching like it was a game 7. And the crowd was cheering like it was the NBA Finals. I appreciate the enthusiasm, but if the Thunder get enjoyment out of beating the Rockets' 2nd stringers with their starting lineup, then my oh my do they have a rough season ahead of them. I mean, imagine if we had Battier and Tmac healthy. I don't even want to think of what a blowout this game would be.
So Yao, T-Mac, Landry, Scola, Artest, Alston were watching from the bench, while Durant and company was going against players that may not be on the team next week. It's just preseason tryouts.
Exactly. Durant can dominate our bench in the fourth if he likes, but it's just preseason for the Rockets and winning clearly isn't the #1 priority. I'm sure Adelman is giving these guys opportunities to see what they can do in crunch time. There definitely were some dumb plays though. That Brooks drive and toss out of bounds was painful.
Strawberry made a few mistakes, but he is playing for a job -- didn't really bother me too much. It seems to me that Adelman really just wants to see if he can play in the offense; that's the most important thing this year. But he just decided to take a bunch of shots instead.
All AB needs to do is fill in for 10-15 minutes per game; no 4th quarters. The Rockets would normally have Yao, Tracy and Artest in the game.
If this was happening to the starters playing the fourth quarter than the Rockets would have a big problem. Three more pre-season games to go, can't wait for the season to start.
Were the thunder against our second strings or a combination of third strings, second strings and would-be-free-agents
c'mon man this is PRESEASON.....learn from mistakes....rookie mistakes. They basically played with their starting lineup and we played with players trying to make the team
Do you guys want to know something.... For the past 5 seasons, teams like San Antonio, Dallas, Detroit... they don't win that many games in preaseason but they do REAL well in the regular season, happened to the Lakers last pre-season, happened to Miami in the preseason before they won the championship... we aren't even trying guys.. this is nothing. Just wait a couple of weeks until we play Memphis on Oct. 29.. Then judge the team.
I predict Joey Dorsey will look like a rookie for his entire (short?) career. I know it is really, really early to say things like that but he just comes across as a bonehead with the silly fouls he commits.
