Well, I'm back. I have been a member for a long time (since the DOB) but a CC dot net member for a while. Only one post, but we will discuss that later. ...

Yao Ming is not worth the hype. At best, he might end up on a poster of Shaq's and at worst, Greg Ostertag. It's possible, and don't think that it isn't. He is not going to be anything in the NBA and it astounds me that people think it he is what H-Town needs. UTBaller, I give it up to you. I read your comments on Yao and the following replies, your true in every comment.

Right now, word is born. For all the real playas and screw heads, the Houston Rockets worst move in franchise history will be if they draft Yao Ming. Plain and simple, PB&J. But, none of us will ever know how good Yao Ming will be playing against the best players in the world because he will never play in the NBA. Its not going to happen. And like a real H-Town G, I keep the faith, shake them haters off!!!!

After all that time, you finally found the post reply button, congradulations.

What facts do you base your opinions on? Have you seen him play other than the little 1 and a half minute clip from the workouts?

Why? There are 20 other teams calling the Rocket about trading up to get Ming. Am to take the opinion of a poster of a BBS over the majority of coaches, scouts, and GMs in the league?

    Let the professionals determine Ming's value..:p :p :p :p

Funny, Yao had a workout in front of every NBA exec, has been scouted intensely by the NBA since he was 17 years old....

And, yet, this new guy comes in and dogs him without one shred of a fact to back up his claim.

    To DMAC....

<b>Fact:</b> Yao Ming averaged 32 points last season

<b>Fact:</b>Yao Ming averaged 19 rebounds last season

<b>Fact:</b> Yao Ming averaged 4 blocks last season

<b>Fact:</b> Yao Ming averaged 72% FG shooting last year

<b>Fact:</b> 72% of the players in the NBA couldn't average 72% FG shooting for a whole season of pre-game shootaround.

<b>Fact:</b> Yao Ming averaged 39 points, 21 rebounds in the CBA playoffs last season.

OK, now we have some facts. What I would like to see is some factual basis to your claim that <b>"Yao Ming is not worth the hype."</b>

Hey DMAC you're wrong see since the tragic death of DJ Screw there has been a void is screwston.
Enter Yao Ming or should I saw Bow Yao Ming to do a purple stuff remix w/ Big Moe. The single goes 4x platnium.(#1 in Shanghi for 2 months).
Bow Yao is immediately signed to wreckshop records. His first album The League is Mine goes 5x's platinum (4 million sold in Shanghi alone).
This helps him bond w/ steve, cat, and mooch as Bow Yao is at all industry parties.
Their bond extends to the hardwood.
Houston def LA in the conf. finals as Yao rejects Horry's game winning attempt into the first row in Willie D's lap.
Houston Defeats the Eastern conf. bum as Bow Yao's single Clutch City blasts in the new downtown arena.
The Chinese are pissed at Yao's new look they try to recall him, but he takes assylm in south park.
We negotiate a deal to send Glen Rice and Cato instead.

    Everybody wins.

    I wake up.

im back, been around the world
got manson girls that dance with girls
    the club amnesia...something like that
    its a Jay Z song.

i wonder if New york had gotten the first pick if i would hear the media still saying that Yao will be a bust. thats what they are saying right now, and ill bet its because hes going to end up in Htown. they are just hoping he will suck.

    Marshmallow soft.
    Draft him.
the mystery is exciting, and we will be able to say we have a better chinese basketball player on our team than Dallas.
    i hate dallas.

Upon further analysis isn't this a conflicting statement. Keepin' the faith but hopin' for the worst?

Looks like hating, smells like hating, & sounds like hating.

So does that mean instead of an H-town G .....
    you're a G-town H**

No holes in football, baseball, soccer, bowling, volleyball, ... you get the point.

Besides that was a quote from steve francis' first reebok commercial where he played a doctor trying to cure a guy who wouldn't pass the ball. It was funny to me.
