This article is from last month but it doesn't seem to have been posted here. It's a shame if he's not coming over. Llull appears the perfect fit next to Harden. He will hits 3s, convert in transition, penetrate, can play off the ball, and is a pesky defender who will stick to his man. RealMadrid.com
Have absolutely no idea if the org's even made any effort. Of course, until very recently, PG has been a pillar for the team. But, you'd think they'd have made some tangible effort to lure a guy they paid the rights for.
Apparently Karnisovas has been coming on heavy trying to convince him to make the jump these past two years and Morey met his people during his trip to the Olympics.
Whatever Llull thinks in his head, you honestly believe a player would speak to his fans, "I don't really care to be here, would bolt for the NBA asap."
Can't imagine how their pitch would've been. "Hi Sergio. We want you to come over and play behind Kyle Lowry and Goran Dragic." Of course not but it's also another thing saying he wants to stay there forever.
No one would beat Sabonis  In real, we are just no needed for Llull, there is plenty of similar player in D-League or FA
They've made several attempts, having media people still promote him as if he was coming over, even had Morey visit him whenever in the area, to see if he is ready to make the jump to the NBA and what they can do to help it occur. I hear Morey even talked to his folks a few times over the phone and in person. But Lllull just doesn't want to be a small fish in the big pond, having been informed by the likes of Rudy Fernandez, how his talents won't exactly set the world on fire and probably hearing about the status of the organization in recent years if his people are competent, he feels more comfortable staying in Europe. Given all I've heard and seen of his games, interviews, I frankly can't blame him. It doesn't sound like he would have been anything more then average. Surprised people are still talking about a guy that has signed 2 or 3 contract extensions rather then try to transition to the NBA after being drafted, this guy isn't Luis Scola just waiting for a chance to prove himself, he has been actively dodging attempts to come over.
I watched him during the Olympics, and he didn't look like he had a lot of potential. He seems like your back-up point guard who likes to out hustle everyone on the court. Would have been a nice player for the Rockets, but not an impact player. Of course, anything could happen, so we'll see.
