So yeah, a short list, though I figured it would be bigger, even with me being selective. Also, I previewed Medal of Honor and Stranglehold last month, but they both got pushed back to this month. MOH for the PC and 360 are both due out on the 4th (PS3 release still TBA 2007 I think), and Stranglehold has 3 release dates (9/5 for 360, 9/18 for PC, 9/25 for PS3). Played a few demos on LIVE today. Call of Juarez (not sure when it comes out) - It was OK. Scenery was cool with the whole wild west, but it seemed like any bland shooter. I couldn't even see where anyone was other than when they were shooting me and I could see where the bullets were flying from. Even then, it was hard as hell to see. NHL 08 - I thought it was pretty cool. I'm no hockey fan (other than I get a hockey game every year), but it really seemed like you had to set up plays, etc on offense. Not just skate and pass around to try to get a one-timer all the time. Timeshifters (not sure when it comes out) - Interesting. Has potential since you can alter time different ways but, again, seems like your ordinary shooter these days. Medal of Honor: Airborn - Wow, that demo was nuts. That was the best MOH Ive played, even for it being a demo. My wife is already stressed over the amount of games coming out this year. She knows Halo 3 and NBA2K8 are must buys around the corner. But, it seems the list keeps growing as I see more of other games. lol
I bought my 360 a couple of weeks ago and I can already tell it's going to be a money sink. I hadn't kept up with new games for the last couple of years, so I only bought the system for GoW and Halo 3, but there's so much good stuff coming out (such as Bioshock and Mass Effect) that it looks like I'll be buying a lot more games.
I'm really surprised that I'm not pumped for Halo 3. Gears of War was nice, but the 360 has been relegated to a DVD player since I started playing WoW.
Seriously, this game has changed so little since its creation.. its pathetic.. the gameplay is solid.. but man.. i got tired of it quick..
'since its creation'? you're making it sound like there's been a ton of games in the series or something...there's only been 2 so far it would have to be something like Madden for your statement to be valid
Looking at Halo 3 I'm not impressed with what they've added. Including online content/maps and stuff that were released.. it just doesn't cut it.
