    what an awful day.

in some ways it seems like yesterday...in others, it feels like it's been a lot longer than 4 years.

Never forget. Honor our troops, law enforcement personnel, victims of 9/11, and support a thoughtful, intelligent and demonstrably effective plan of action to make sure we are safe, well-prepared and still free.

Does this mean I have to put my American flag back on my car?

I never really noticed the gigantic pile of rubble in the background of that pic befeore. I guess I was just always concentrating on the flag and the firefighers.

Can't really believe it's been 4 years. Feels like yesterday still.

This reminds us that, after four full years, we still have not caught the mastermind behind 9/11 - Osama Bin Laden and his chief lieutenant - dead or alive.

I was just into my 2nd or 3rd week of college. When it happened, I just couldn't believe it. The feelings around the dorms was somber. It was surreal I just kept sitting on my bed and listen to Lenon's imagine.

Sadly President Bush and some of the ardent war supporters try to use the suffering of 9/11 to support an aggressive war by the United States that has already ,kiilled 10 to 20 times or more innocents than the terrorists of 9/11 killed.

It has now been 4 years and history has shown, that despite continual attempts by the Bush Administration to keep the American people in a state of fear, that fortunately 9/11 was a relatively isolated, though horrific, incident and everything has not really changed.

What has changed is that unfortunately the hatred and fear of the United States engenedered by the illegal aggressive war againsty Iraq, which was opposed by virtually the whole world, willl last a very long time and ultimately lead to more terrorism against American citizens.

Its sad some people can't let a thread go by without spewing on about their own political agenda.

is this thread supposed to be about the victims or the administration's so-called war on terror?

    Piehole. Shut it.

This thread was about the remembrance of the victims....nothing more. Shame on you for not being able to, for one moment, let your Bush bashing go.

Back to the real intent of this thread....

I could be wrong but the thread starter is pretty specific. Remember 9/11, support our troops in their fight against terrorism. I think you can agree with both of those without supporting the administration.

Terrorists blew up the WTC. What is the problem with the second sentence in the thread?

Nothing. The problem is saying that the thread exists solely to remember the victims, when it doesn't.
