I saw this link in the threads earlier, but I think this should deserve its own thread. I think that we all should email the NBA league and everyone email them complaining about the officiating. I don't usually complain about the officiating, but this game just made me sick. I cannot believe how bad it was. I really wanted to just turn off the TV because of the bad officiating, but I just had to keep the TV on because i had to root for the rockets. http://www.nba.com/webAction?action.../email_us/email_form_041027.jsp&surveyId=1152 DO IT!
would be cool if we could get 100,000 unique individuals to e-mail them and complain. i will email tomorrow
I sent a note complaining that the NBA is sending kids the wrong message by fining JVG 100K for talking but Melo was only fined 7500 for shoving Manu in the last game of that series.
I just sent my email to the office. I am so mad I could hurt something. My roommate is a Mavs fan and even he couldn't gloat after this game because he knew they didn't deserve it....I've gotta hit the bottle to forget about this travisty.
I just did it: I just finished watching the most shameless officiated game in NBA history, with D. Stern sitting on the ground. In the fifth game between Rockets and Mavs, what kind of officials can make that kind of whistles? and again and again? I can name four or five mistakes which all benefit Mavs in the last three minutes, including Finley's outbound slapping, 5th foul agains TMac, the foul against J.Barry, the foul against Padgett, and the foul which should have fouled out Dirk being counted to J.Howard. And there were more. If Cuban had not bribed those NBA officials, then I swear those officials are the worst officials in this planet. And as a BB fan, who bought NBA League Pass, I swear I would never buy it again. I don't want to pay for those bull****s again. It is really disgusting, unbearable and most unfair play I have ever seen. I don't love this game anymore.
That's freakin' unreal!! What did he do to warrant the biggest fine of a coach ever? He did the same think Phil Jackson and Mark Cuban do every playoff series they are involved in. The difference is that JVG's track record shows that there really has to be something going on for him to act on something like this.
This might sound drastic but the Chinese fans should really make a big stink writing to the papers and such. The only thing that will affect Stern is if he jepoardizes his goal of making NBA basketball global. China is an untapped market in both fans and players. There is huge $$$ at stake. Stern will not respond to some disgruntled Rockets fans. Write to Sina. Make it a continuous story about Stern and the NBA officials. Bottom line is the squeaky wheel gets the grease and believe it or not, complaining does work. Where are the YOF's now when we need you.
Wow, I'm amazed so many other people had the same idea. I just finished my letter. >> I am writing to complain about your product. I am a fan of the Houston Rockets, and I have paid money to see NBA games for more than 10 years. I just finished watching Game 5 of the Houston-Dallas playoff series, and I recognize now that your product has been a waste of my money. Game 5 shows one of two things. Either 1) The game is fixed, or 2) The game is run incompetently. In the last 3 minutes of the game, there were four very very poor calls by the referees. One bad call is a mistake. Two bad calls is unlucky. Three bad calls are a pattern. Four, I don't know what to call it, except, a conspiracy. a) Michael Finley, while standing out of bounds, steals the ball from the Rockets. No "out of bounds" call is made. b) The ball is knocked towards the free throw line. Two players: Jerry Stackhouse and John Barry go for the ball from different directions and with neither player in control of the ball. Both players head straight for the ball, and touch each other incidentally. A foul is called against Rockets player John Barry. c) Rockets player Yao Ming gets a rebound. Two Mavericks players are near him and one, Dirk Nowitzki, swings his arms knocking Yao and the ball away. The foul (which would have ejected Nowitzki from the game) is called on the other player. This is cowardly refereeing at its worst. d) With less than a minute left in the game, two Rockets players trap a Mavericks player in the corner. Both Rockets players have their arms in the air and graze the Mavericks player with their bodies while standing almost directly upright. A foul is called on the Rockets. This is another cowardly call by a referee who has predetermined what his behavior will be, before the play has occurred. I am extremely angry at the quality of this game. Yes, I am a Houston fan, and I am unhappy that the Rockets did not win, so I have some natural bias. But the fact is, the Rockets were not even given a chance to win the game. If the NBA is a business with any seriousness, it must face up to the fact that it failed, badly, in this game. In particular, the referees failed repeatedly and consistently against Houston. These people should face penalties. Suspensions, firing, fines. I don't care what you do. But this kind of ridiculous unprofessionalism can not go unpunished, or your product loses credibility.
I wrote: Rockets Vs Mavs series = Conspiracy p.s. Mark Cuban should be the next commissioner since he is already paying the officials.
I just sent it my rather lengthy complaint... I dont want to repost it here but I told them that I am never watching any more NBA games or go to any games until they do something about the officiating.. I also said that they better not dare do anything to JVG and if they do then fans all over the world will back him up...I hope I am right...
I wrote but am very pessimistic to the notion that anyone finished with puberty, much less Davey S will read them. I'm sure they leave the email complaints to the minimum wage employees.
