This time: a payroll tax credit for companies that don't offshore, eliminaton of deductions for those that do.

In the last two weeks, Senate Republicans have filibustered or otherwise blocked:

    Non-offshoring Tax Credit
    Small Business tax breaks
    Extension of R&D Tax credits
    Income tax cuts

    Which party is antibusiness again?

Tax breaks and tax credits would be the opposite of a free market. Thus, those things are antibusiness. Tax breaks and tax credits are aspects of crony capitalism and encourage the existence of lobbyists.

Anti-business and opposite of a free market are two different beasts. They are both a loss of federal tax revenue. I don't understand how one side can argue that the government does nothing to stop outsourcing and protect American jobs, yet it complains that big government is anti-free market when it gives tax breaks and credits to stop said outsourcing.

You can't have both sides of the coin.

Your right that Republicans argue both sides and I agree that it is not fair to Democrats. This is because some Republicans are not conservative and believe in using force on the markets by giving breaks to a selected few instead of all. Tea party members are trying to fix that problem by getting rid of such Republicans (Castle, Crist, Murkowski).

Uh OK, sign me up. The phrase free market should be tossed into the dustbin of history. And the term anti-business is just a smear that wall street shills use to silence anyone who opposes their agenda.

Sad day when putting your side of the isle is ahead of what's best even for your own constituents.

I literally think Senate democrats should author a motion supporting the eating of apple pie, and Obama should say "I support this motion," just to see the GOP/Fox response.

"Well, actually, there's a lot of sugar in apple pie, and to fight obesity, to encourage nutrition we have to take a stand. It's just not as simple as our over-eating democratic colleagues would lead you to believe. And keep in mind, there's no hard evidence than many of the founding fathers actually consumed apple pie."

Average Tea Pary Member =/= Libertarian

The average tea party member cares more about the security of his/her job, tax rates for the upper class and religion/gun/abortion rights than they do about free market theory.

If this wasn't true... they wouldn't be complaining about all the cheap labor coming up from south of the border.

"ya know, it's a cold red fact that Jose Stalin ate apple pie, or 'death pie' as we call it there in Alaska here, every day, as he and his death panels killed hundreds or billions of innocent American citizens living in The Russia at that time."

It's not a tax cut bill but I think it can go here.

House passes 9/11 health bill to help sick workers

WASHINGTON – The House has approved a bill to give up to $7.4 billion to workers sickened during the cleanup of World Trade Center site after the Sept. 11 attacks.

The 268-160 vote on Wednesday came after passionate floor debate. Democratic supporters said they were standing up for sick 9/11 heroes. Republican critics branded the bill as yet another big-government entitlement program that would boost taxes and kill jobs.
