Seinfeld’ gang to reunite for Thanksgiving
NBC special will air two days after the DVD release of the series
    Updated: 11:18 a.m. ET Sept. 24, 2004

LOS ANGELES - Jerry Seinfeld is returning to NBC, along with TV pals Elaine, George and Kramer, for a special Thanksgiving Day retrospective on the smash hit “show about nothing”, the network said Thursday.

The planned Nov. 25 broadcast, highlighting the origins of “Seinfeld” and the early years of the mega-hit comedy that ran on NBC for nine years, is timed for two days after the DVD release of the series.

Seinfeld himself will host the hour-long special, featuring clips from the show and interviews with co-creator Larry David and co-stars Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Elaine), Jason Alexander (George) and Michael Richards (Kramer).

Named by TV Guide magazine as the greatest television series of all time, “Seinfeld” collected a total of 10 Emmy Awards and 70 nominations during its run, mostly on Thursday nights as the centerpiece of the network’s powerhouse “Must-See-TV” lineup.

“Seinfeld” left the primetime airwaves in 1998, but reruns of the show live on in syndication.

I wouldn't call that 'reuniting' ... sounds like a little special that's probably included with the DVD set.

That sucks. I would rather have a reunion show.

What can they say about the series that hasn't already been said? Their just being paid to promote the DVDs. I heard Jason Alexander on Howard Stern talking about how they were asked to do it for free and they all balked. Jason also said they don't really keep in touch at all anymore. So, I guess this paid promo is their chance to re-unite.

I'll still watch I guess.

I caught the tail-end of an episode last night. Jerry actually met Kramer for the first time and uttered those ill-fated words: We're neighbors. My home is your home.

    Haha...

    Jerry - "What's mine is your's..."

    Kessler (Kramer) - "Really?!?"

Of all my favorite shows "Seinfeld" is the only one that I would really love to see a real reunion special. I think they should have everyone get together for Elaine and Puddy's wedding ---- classic! :)

Am I the only idealistic romantic on the board that would prefer to have Jerry and Elaine tie the knot.

    Yeah, that sounds familiar.

How many episodes did it take them to start teasing Kramer's hair?

Sounds like everyone has fallen off the face of the earth and they would like another pay day on the only thing that has been remotely successful for them.

You couldnt pay me to watch that. Seinfeld sucks.

If they want to start the series up again, I'll watch.

No thanks to seeing the cast sit around and talk about clips I've seen a thousand times.
