Getting ready to head down to the Wachovia Center and stand in the General Admission line for U2 tonight. (Also curious to see the opener, Kings of Leon, for the first time.)

Finished finals this week -- this is the perfect way to celebrate!

    I'll post a review/recap some time tomorrow.

*Braces himself for the inevitable "U2 sucks" posts ...*

Very jealous as I am across the Pacific this year and will miss all of their tour in the US. I have seen all their tours since Zoo TV, and they are absolutely one of the best concert bands. Can't believe I have to miss this tour as it sounds great from all the reviews (plus they are playing a lot of songs off of Boy too!). To heck with all the U2 haters out there. Hope you enjoy it.

I saw their show under the Brooklyn bridge on DirecTV freeview which was good. They were also playing on a truck platform around NYC. I'm sure all U2 fans heard of it or were there. I thought it was funny when they pulled that fan off the street to play drums and he was pretty good.

I'm not really a U2 fan per se but I wouldn't mind seeing their show. Personally, I find the most energy from watching DMB in concert. That band just rocks so hard in every category. I was blown away by that AOL concert on the NET.

U2 brings a good energy in concert as well but mostly with their older hits IMHO. DMB brings that energy with every song.

Have fun! If you get a chance to meet Bono, then ask him "Shouldn't you be off saving the world?" . ;)
