Since the Rockets do not have a contract with Fox Sports Southwest, will us Rockets fans in College Station be limited to watching our beloved Rockets only on national broadcasts?? Please tell me there is another way to see the Rockets here in CS.

    AggieRocket,

I just got on here to post nearly the same exact topic.
Actually I had posted a thread a few weeks ago (College Station Rockets' Games) or something like that, asking what we needed to do to get Cox to televise them on ch. 15 like they did sometimes last year.

I called Cox about 3 weeks ago to ask, and they didn't have any info about it at all. But, Fox Sports isn't televising any games this year, that Im aware of. It's either a national game or it's on KNWS ch. 51 in Houston.

Im thinking about trying Fox & Hound tonight if it's not on ch. 15 here.

Post any new info you find out about.

    Gig 'em

The Cox office in Bryan is absolutely terrible!!! I just called Cox to see if I could see tonight's game on the free preview of NBA League Pass, and they told me that NBA League Pass isn't even offered in the Bryan-College Station area. All of us BCS folks have to get together to petition Cox to show the games on Ch. 15 or to offer League Pass.

Get a dish. I'm just south of College Station and watch every single game all year long.

    Whoop!

    dttd888,

Since Cox's local office is closed now, the calls forward to their main customer service office somewhere in the Midwest. The guy was not sure if today's game would be on Channel 15, or if Channel 15 will be showing any games at all or not. He just told me that NBA League Pass is unavailable to BCS residents, and that is why we can't get the free preview. If we had the free preview, we could have watched tonight's game.

I just called and they guy said they would be showing games this year, but didn't give me a schedule. He said I could pick one up at the main office on Monday.

I don't wanna call again, somebody else call and see if tonights game will be on. Maybe if enough people call today, they'll put it on.

calling them now....but just turned on 1150 the Zone while taking a shower, and they got the Rockets' games on there...This may be old news to ya'll but i didn't realize this...this is great.

Last year I'd go out to my car for 2 hours and try to listen as best I could through all that static on 610 AM. Much props to 1150 the Zone for doing this this year.

    Still on hold

Once you get to the menu, just press 0 to get an operator. Make sure he knows you are in B/CS.

yeah, just got off the phone with him....
check this out....asked him about the rocket's, told him i was here and all, then he asked, Is that baseball?
Baseball?? I told him it was basketball, NBA basketball. He said, "Hmmmm, man, i never watch sports, dont' know anything about them."

Anyways, to the point, he can't see anything they might be showing. All he sees is "Local access channel" for that time slot and that channel for here. It's past 7:30 now, still no feed on ch. 15.....but im listening to it on 1150 the zone.

Im fixing to call Fox & Hound when it starts to see if they are showing it....I'll post the answer.

I don't see why these guys won't ask a supervisor or something? I bet it just takes these phone people a little initiative to ask a supervisor, starting a climb through the chain of command until somebody in charge of programming can flip the switch. Lazy mofos.

That is all it takes, to just flip a switch. Last year, when the game didn't come on that was supposed to, i called them, and they said, "ok, wait, we'll flip the switch".

Fox & Hound is not showing it either damn it.

Any news on watching, post it please.
