Security Company Puts Chips In Workers' Arms POSTED: 1:32 pm CST February 13, 2006 CINCINNATI -- A Cincinnati company that sells surveillance equipment has begun implanting tiny identifying devices in some employees. CityWatcher.com says there's nothing sinister about the implants, which allow access to the company's secure vaults. Chief Executive Sean Darks said the implants are nothing more than a tiny keycard implanted under the skin. According to The Financial Times, VeriChip, the American company that made the devices, said the implants were designed primarily for medical purposes. The company also claims to have the only chips that have been approved by the Food and Drug Administration, the paper reported. Some consumer advocates contend the devices could lead to unwanted snooping into personal activities. http://www.click2houston.com/technology/7014100/detail.html How long before all humans have chips implanted at birth?
