I'm guessing that the same people who would shoot anyone to get to food for their family aren't really keeping up with the latest posts on their favorite message boards. Just a hunch.

I agree with that. But this is an overreaction. Of course, I haven't seen the actual post, so who knows?

5 years in a federal "pound-me-in-the-ass" prison should fix him

Seriously, the thread about Yahoo helping the PRC sounds even more scary, more because that's going to or is already happening (and we don't know about it) in this country.

I think they probably should investiage him...

I don't care which party you support, it is never appropriate to make comments like that...

There are crazy people in this world ... who will do crazy things over politics.. best to check the threat out just to be safe..

so recently i heard this song that i really like. its 'poison' by nas.

now the last line in this song is basically threatening the president. can someone tell me if the secret service will go after me for liking the song?

in all seriousness though i dont understand how nas is getting away with it. i thought we persecuted black people for minor offenses. or are we at a point where we just refuse to acknowledge their existence and hence dont even bother checking their stuff?

Those of us who saw the 'State' sketch from ten years ago know better than to make threats on the President's life ...

The Secret Service investigates any and all threats made on protectees lives, regardless of how big or small the threat is and who the protectee is. If the kid would have said the same thing about Bill Clinton, George Bush 41 or any other of their protectees they would have done the same thing... hell, it is the main reason they are in existence so it is hardly a waste of time. There is a Secret Service office in every major city so it is hardly a waste of resources.

If he goes to jail for that, that'd be stupid, but w/e.

I totally understand, but he wasn’t making a threat.. just a statement.. He hasn’t been charged with making a threat yet (See Below), that's why I find this thing hard to understand.. Is the way he said it wrong.. YES, but does it warrant the SS taking this close of look at the kid.. NO..

BTW, I never said it was a waste of resources..

if he goes to jail for that it is unbelievable stupid, he never said he wanted Bush dead. He gave his opinion on the matter of lutting. If he goes to jail for this then there is no such thing as freedom of speech in america. It is even ridiculous they even investigate it.

    just pathetic.
