Has anyone seen Sebastian Telfair in action? Is he the real deal? There has been a lot of hype around him. Does he deserve it? Can we expect to see him as the top PG in the NBA when he's on the top of his career?
I've seen him play once against a crappy school but he only played for the first half because they had a 20 point lead. He was unselfish and had some amazing handles, but he was really skinny. He also threw down a great fast break jam that got the crowd up. He only played for about 14 minutes, so I can't tell you his NBA potential. One thing about high school point guards- you just never, ever know. Point guard is such a cerebral position that you don't know who is going to mature and who is going to go flat. Telfair has a lot of potential but he may be limited by his AI frame without the AI athleticism. There are many point guards in his class that many say will be better than him, so he's probably never going to be the best point guard in the NBA. His cousin, Stephon Marbury, is widely considered to better than him at the same stage, and Marbury is not the best in the NBA. We'll just have to wait and see.
He's not even the best PG in his class. Hell, he's not even 2nd or maybe even 3rd. He's good but not as good as he thinks he is. I have heard that he does have a good work ethic though. I hope he isn't stupid enough to try to go straight to the L.
I've seen him play, and he is really, really good. He plays no defense, but man does he have some dribbling skills. Plays just like Stephon.
Yes but he's still not as good as he thinks he is. He's still yapping about jumping to the L even last weekend.
