This move definetly takes the James-Stoud S&T off the table. May make DW less desirable too, isn't Dixon a 1-2 tweener? Really not a bad move for them, pick up a vet 1-2 but one still pretty young/some upside in a reasonable contract. Not good for our S&T possibilities though. DS and NVE will be gone for sure.
As was said above, NVE and DS are long gone in Portland. That leaves a lower pick rookie and a second year guy out of HS. They needed insurance. They really wanted Antonio Daniels, and there was light consideration of Payton. Evan
