The PRO is you get to go to a lot of games.
The CON is you have to pay for unwatchable pre season games.

It's a grind, worth it yes, But by the 30th game you'll be getting worn out. Also, just my opinion, the best seats are not near the floor if your going to go every game. Get at least halfway up the lower bowl right at center court. I like being able to see the everything that is going on from more of a birds eye view. Nothing wrong with closer seats, it's a little more exciting closer to the players for a few games, but for the long haul I found it better to be further up.

    Enjoy!

IMO the best seat in the arena is the front row of the upper bowl... you can see everything and you dont have anyone in from of you, not to mention the price is pretty reasonable.

Lower bowl in the center and pay $17,000.00 a year. Nice if you have the cash!

Season tickets are great if you make really good money. Otherwise the experience at home for free is pretty damn good. Post up on a nice couch in front of your big HD tv and enjoy.

I do appreciate going to games and probably go to about 5 a year but hitting up 40 games is ridiculous in my opinion.

    Pros
    • You go to Rocket games
    • Price per game is the same as oppose to having a single game ticket for Laker/Heat going for 3x the cost.
    • First shot at securing extra playoff tickets
    • some meet and greets with players/coaches
    • seeing as you're a new sth, they'll take care good care of you.
    • If you last for five years, the following season, you get a brick on the plaza. Speaking of which, where the hell is my damn brick.

    Cons
    • Prices are kinda rediculous.
    • The guy sitting next to you or in your section is annoying.
    • what i mean is that you're dealing with corporate joe/jane playing on their phone, or super joe fan needing his sixth beer.
    • because we have a good team now, there are long lines at the restrooms and concessions. back when it was the Kevin Martin days, I could easily get some nachos. I could piss in every single urinal for two seconds each if I wanted to.
    • the in game entertainment kinda sucks. it's an opinion, it may differ from yours. I HATE THE SPACE CITY SENIORS. I HATE THE LITTLE DIPPERS. I BOO THEIR ASS OFF THE COURT EVERY TIME. ESPECIALLY THE SENIORS. Once you've seen a skit they do on the screen, you've seen them all. It sucks when you know what's coming. But hey, you're there for 44 games, you better know.

If I could be a season ticket holder for one team in this city, It would be the Texans. 10 games and it's on the same day? Real easy to do.

    beats 81 Astros games.

but I'm a die hard for basketball, and this is my team.

It's worth it. Their three main perks for being a sth was the Opening Launch party, the Holiday party, and Play day.

Holiday party can be hit or miss. Play day, in my opinion is my favorite. I love getting on the court and shooting.

How good was the holiday party? I can't remember. That's how good it was. I just remember, I got a coupon for a drink, and a plate of something. I got a picture with Jeremy Lin. Wooooooooo. Yeah, that's somewhere in my car probably under my seat. The year before that, Leslie decides he wants to hire Boyz ii Men. It's more like Men ii Men these days. Boy you could see them sweat and breathe hard. The best holiday party was my first year. The food was good. It was flowing. Thanks Yao! The theme was great. It was a Casino type event. Really cool, and it's been declining every year. Thanks Yao! :(

Now they have some whack ass Trick or treat ****. That's lame as ****. I need to go this upcoming season (if they have it) just to **** around.

Hopefully, the holiday party doesn't suck.

    hopefully they have play day.

To answer your question, does my sales rep care about me? The hell if I know. Probably long as I pay.

I've had 3 reps as I head into my 7th year. I had my rep for one year for my rookie season. Really nice lady. Really approachable.
From my second to current year up until January 14, I had my second rep. I liked her too. She's easy to reach. My third one, I've had her for the second half of the season. Jury still out on her. Have to see how this off season is doing.

Also, make sure you get every ticket scanned. It's worth it at the end of the season. (or it used to be) but just do that.

I guess it's worth it if you like the Rockets.

    WELL **** U KAM!!!

Seriously, this can get annoying, everything from the Courtney Lee "That's MA BABY!!!!" fan club that sat behind us, to the ones that think they know about the team but say the dumbest things that make NO SENSE, to booing players like Asik because "he doesn't do anything" on a bad game

Kam was spot on with everything else.

One thing's for sure, it has been annoying for the veterans where the perks have been getting worse every year, it started even BEFORE we got Harden. But you are a new STH, so they'll treat you well for a few seasons.

They used to give team autograph basketballs if you had perfect attendance, that stopped this year because I have "upper" level seats in the 4th cheapest tickets you can get, which still run you over $700/season. They gave me the excuse that it was for the longer tenured, but I know someone who got an autograph ball that has better seats in the lower bowl, but was there a few years less than I have....

I've been a STH since 06-07 season and haven't stopped since. I eventually will if Kam or any of the rest of the crew stop getting them with me, or I finally end up settling with a family, which I do not see in the foreseeable future.

If you any questions, just hit us up in the Social Group.

I was a half sth, and the only thing i miss about it is getting playoff seats at a much lower cost than (and before) the general public.

There is absolutely nothing like an NBA playoff game.

I've had 4 reps in my 2 years (going on 3) of being a ticket holder. They care about you and will take care of you. I actually have stayed in touch with my older reps and always say hello to them every time I see them in the arena/ events. For any other questions, see Kam's post.
