I think there is a chance that Ernest Brown might be cut in Miami. They are really overloaded with big men.Could be a big body we could use to bang with the big centers in our conference. What do you guys think? We really need to add some bulk upfront,if nothing else someone is goig to have to foul shak to send him to the freethrow line.

    Maurice Taylor
    Hakeem Olajuwon
    Kelvin Cato
    Jason Collier

All those guys are 250lbs+ and stand around 7' tall. (ok, Mo is 6'9)

    Kenny Thomas

    A 260lb banger

    Carlos Rogers
    Matt Bullard

Our 2 lithe big men, both are tall and bring different skills to the table for the team (and useful skills too!)

By my count that makes 7 big men on our roster. 5 of which I would think are legitimate bangers - why do we need a nobody to put in there too? Oh, and even if you hate Collier, he AT LEAST brings 6 fouls to hack Shaq with.....

I agree with both of you. We have a lot of big guys already and no minutes left to shell out, but at the same time, getting Ernest Brown would ROCK! From what I heard of him, he is quite similar to Cato, and with athletic, shotblocking big men so hard to come by, it makes sense to stockpile them if the opportunity arises. This guy was pegged to go late lottery at one time. During the draft, I was holding my breath waiting to see if he'd be available at our second round pick. Now, I'm totally thrilled we picked Dan Langhi (I didn't know how good he was), but getting Ernest Brown would be icing on the cake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
