He's going to interview for a QB Coach position with Dennis Green. Do you think this is a legitimate deal or a Britney Spears kind of deal? :D

Salibury was on ESPN yesterday and was talking as if it's a done deal. Arizona will be drafting a qb. No doubt. Dan Patrick to Salibury, "What do you know about qbacking?" :)

Oh goody. An entire season of "Cardinals Turned into Salisbury Steak" headlines to look forward to.

Almost as knee-slappingly funny as "Houston, We Have a Problem..."

Dan Patrick announced this as breaking news at 1pm yesterday. He spoke with Salisbury, who sounded like he was pretty serious about defecting from Bristol.

No more play time for John Clayton.

I didn't hear about it until this morning with Sean and Clayton doing their 4Down gig. He said that there was no certainty but that he was going for an interview and would make a decision quickly. Of course, that can be interpreted as "If they offer me the job, I'm gone....."

Maybe its just me... but if I was Ben Rothlisberger or Eli Manning and I get drafted by AZ, and subsequently have Salisbury as my positional coach... I would just laugh.

I mean, this is the same guy who makes it a point to be a loudmouthed jackass on ESPN for all these years. I couldn't look at him with a straight face.

How the hell does Battlebots get a job in the NFL? Good God, Dennis Green must be insane.

I have an impression that lots of journeyman QBs make good coaches. They have to pay more attention and be better decision makers because their skills lag.

If it were not for ESPN, Sean would probably already have been a coach for a good while now.

Very good point. Gary Kubiak instantly comes to mind.

Steve Spurrier won the Heisman, but he didn't amount to much in the NFL, right?

Something tells me Steve Young would make an excellent QB coach

Sam Wyche. Oops! We may need to reconsider this conslusion. i suppose he was okay; he must have been a head coach for 10 years or so.

That doesn't mean that Spurrier couldn't have been a good NFL offensive coordinator or QB coach.

I meant his NFL playing career didn't amount to much.

But he turned out to be an offensive genius.

I guess Kubiak is hanging around to replace Shanahan. He hasn't seemed too interested in other open jobs. In fact, they don't even talk about him as a candidate anymore.

I heard somewhere that in 8 of the last 9 years, the NFL's leading rusher has played for the Broncos.. and I think it has been four different guys.

I must have mis-heard what was said. Could it be that they've had 1000 yard rushers 8 of the last 9 years... perhaps now 9 of the last 10?

    Terrell Davis
    Mike Anderson
    Olandis Gary
the guy from The U... forget his name...

This sounds much more likely. Each of these guys has rushed for a 1000 yards (last one being Clinton Portis... wasn't sure if you were being sarcastic with forgetting his name. :) )

No, I really couldn't remember his name.... brain fart. I went to the Broncos website and couldn't even find historical team records in the 2 minutes I allowed for the search.

My Grandmother could get 1000 yards behind the Denver O-Line, it's amazing what a few dirty players will do to make a block.

I'd actually pay to watch a grandma try to run the ball in the NFL but then I gots me some issues.
