Has anybody seen the video for that song?

It's kind of a reggaeish song by that white dude (here I go).

Anyway, this black girl (Sasha) dances in the video...the moves she makes...I wonder if they can show that video in the US during the day! :D

In contrast to many Americans, I was not shocked at all...if at all, then because of the big reaction it caused.

But the way that chick moves in the Sean Paul video is just... :)

Is the guy even known in the US?

By the way, I don't think they could have shown the same version they showed on MTV Europe of that R.Kelly video for the song "Fiesta"...at any time of the day...plenty of naked boobs in that (18+!). Europeans don't get all hysterical over something like that :).

I thought Sean Paul was black. Or at least half black.

Hell yes. How could he not be when he's doing collaborations with 50 Cent, Beyonce, Busta Rhymes and the like? For a while, he was a bit over exposed. He's finally starting to drop off a little now, though.

    Sean Paul...YOU SUCK!!!

This guy is not even close to the Marleys, Jacob Miller, Lee Perry, Peter Tosh, et. al. Hell...even Snow did a better job at creating a hip pop/reggae mixture.

Bob Marley is the king of Reggae, but if you want the next best thing, check out Lucky Dube. Artist from Africa (I'm drawing a blank on which country. I want to say Ghana, but I don't think that's right). Great stuff.

And seeing Sean Paul in the "reggae" section at Best Buy almost made me vomit. So I did what any self-respecting music fan would do, picked all the copies of his cd up, picked up the placecard, and moved his ass back to pop where he belongs.

    hey boomboom,

Sean Paul, Bounty Killer, Capleton, Sizzla, Beenie Man, etc. is considered to be Ragga which is another genre inside the jamaican music genre.

While Lee Perry is more called for his dub style music and marley being the cornerstone of natty sing a long reagge tunes as well as most of the the Peter Tosh stuff.

I think Sean Paul had a great song with "get busy" but that was it for me. I do not like these digital riddims a lot.

I much more prefer and love the old stuff like

    the cyclons with count ossie
    cornell campbell
    freddie mcgregor
    bunnie & skitter
    willie williams
    l crosdale
    leroy wallace
    lennie hibbert
    anton ellis

    an on and on...........

pass the dutchie pon da left on side.

I cant stand Sean Paul and I dont know why he became so popular. He had Get Busy and then the next minute he was singing with 100 other people. He sucks.

He's from South Africa. I saw him in Manchester (UK) several years ago, probably the best live performance i've seen from an artist.

    He's not from South Africa.

    His music is Ragga.

The dancer in the video is NOT Sasha. There is a dancer and there's Sasha.

    The dancer does look delicious.

Personally, I'd describe his music as a Jamiaican Dancehall/Hip-Hop crossover.

I like it myself, but he's clearly not too popular in the US.

man that video is overplayed. I don't particulary watch MTV, but whenever I turn it on and they are showing music videos it's always that song or that one my Evanesence. (sp)

So who is that chick in the video? It's not even that I think she is particularly pretty, it's just that the way she moves is kind of lascivious (?).
