I wish the Texans would sign him

I think that *HE* is the difference
    between
    T.O. and Randy Moss

Working out with Rice made T.O. greater IMO
i think Johnson on the Rice workout plan
would not piss me off at all

Jerry Rice is a major inspiration to me. Earlier this year I flipped past MNF and saw him make an incredible catch. I couldn't believe he was still playing. What is he 43, 44 and still performing in the NFL! I frequently remind myself of this as I'm playing Ultimate, just before I go and burn some college pup for the score.

I wouldn't mind the Texans taking a one year contract for Mr. Rice. Rice still has game. Maybe not enough to start, but he'd be a solid number three reciever. Plus, he could really provide that leadership to take A. Johnson to the next level.

Rice is my favorite player of any sport.

Of all his eye-popping statistical records, this little trivia-bit is my favorite:

You can divide Rice's career statistics into TWO careers: 1) age 21 - 30; and 2) > age 30. BOTH of these stretches of careers would be in the top 5 of career receptions.

    Incredible.

At 40, he was the oldest wide receiver in the history of the game. Then he played at 41. And at 42. And at 43. Here's hoping he sings with a team for age 44.

It's unfortunate that he'll end his career nowhere near his best. On the other hand, it'd be great to have him finish his career out as a Texan. He could really help our WR's out, especially Andre Johnson, as previously stated. Here's hoping, though, that the 12 teams ahead of the Texans are all incredibly dumb and let Mike Williams fall to the Texans. They wouldn't be neccessarily dumb for passing on him (some of the higher picks), but for letting Johnson and Williams play for the same team - IT'D BE SO OVER!
