Mark these words Butler will be an NBA superstar for sure he has the talent and leadership. Don't get me wrong I like yao Ming and I think he will be a good player but not as good as Caron. Butler fills the Sf void even though their has trade rumors flying around that were going to pick up Rashard Lewis or Lamar Odom in a trade. Im going into the talents that each of these players have cause for the last week I have seen so many posts on each of these palyers more on Ming. What do you think Ming or CARON BUTLER.

I agree....Caron is the best player in this years draft :D

But if we (the Rockets) could trade 15.pick and Mo Taylot or Cato or.....to the 5 pick....then we can select Yao @ 1 ... and Butler @ 4....:p

I'd rather have Ming if we are guarranteed he can play all season....If not, it's an easy decision, go with Butler.

I hope I'm wrong but I think Ming is that Cleveland center, Daughtery all over again. Give us Caron, dang it.

I think it will be "ODOM"............

My Sisters Boyfriend works as a scout for the Clippers. The word he is getting is that the Clips are giving Odom, and the #8 for the Rockets #1 overall pick.

Plus the Clippers are offering the #12 pick along with Maggette and Macinnis's rights to Denver for the #5 pick. Which will be either Butler, Dunleavy or the 19 year old Russsian playing in Italy ..............Not bad Richardson with the Euro player of the year in many peoples minds jaric ( Think next Stojakovic) with Dooling as a backup for Jay Williams ( Thanks to the Rockets) in the backcourt. With Miles getting full freedom now with Odom's departure, and Brand as the forwards, with Olowakandi at center. And then Dunleavy or Butler to back up Brand and Miles, with Miles playing some power forward when Brand goes for a breather.

Good trade for both teams, because now Mobley and Francis have Odom, as well as the number 8 pick perhaps Hillario or Stoudamire the man child............

    :)

What's wrong with Brad Daugherty? He played 8 seasons, averaged 19+ ppg and only needed 13 shots/g to do it. He also grabbed 9.5 rebs/g.

You took the words right out of my mouth Gater. In the 80's in the mid 80's, it was Hakeem,Ewing, and Daughtery in that order. After 84, the nba first,2nd,and 3rd team all nba was dominated by these 3 centers. Although he only played 8 seasons beacause of a bad back, he was a 5 time all star. Teams now days would kill to have a center like daughtery was. The only sad thing is people would down play his play because he doesn't dunk on people like shaq or jump out the gym like these high schoolers, but what the player he was is in the stats,20pts,10rebs and considered one of the best passing big men. If Ming can be like Brad, we would be on our way sooner than expected.

Steve Francis and Brad Daugherty would be the 2nd best guard/center combination in the league! You would be unhappy with that? You don't hope for much, do you?
