lol, I still can't get over that ManRAm. I see that sig and I just shake my head in disgust that someone would actually think that Creed made music.

    hmmm...

I enjoy listening to them (Creed) more but don't think any of them really have any substance. I guess I'm somewhere in the middle.

On this board, there are a hell of a lot of people who were totally listening to Creed a few years ago.

    ADMIT IT.

Heck no, I always regarded them as a Pearl Jam ripoff. I think maybe there are PARTS of some of their songs I like, but that's about it.

Never liked Creed. That said I think the guy was definitely high on something, and I think everyone has said or done something that they regretted while intoxicated. I do think the man sent out a Christian message in his lyrics just for the sake of money and not so much to get the message out, which wasn't even a good message to begin with in my opinion. However if saying stupid **** while intoxicated makes any person less of a Christian, Muslim, Jew, etc then you'd be hardpressed to find a model person for each religious faith. People do stupid stuff. It doesn't automatically mean they're kicked out of the faith they practice.

See, this is what I don't understand. How can people call them a Pearl Jam knockoff? I don't see any similarity with Pearl Jam. Creed's music sounded much tighter and well played. Pearl Jam sounds like ****. Not that I'm a big Creed fan, but they are much better than Pearl Jam.

They weren't even in the same genre.
    Creed=Mainstream Rock, Pearl Jam=Grunge.

Pearl Jam is one of the most overrated bands in recent memory. Listen to a song that's gotten a ton of radio airplay, for example, "Jeremy" or "Black". These songs are godawful, repetitious and boring.

I really don't give a **** if anyone agrees with me, but it's a shame that people buy what the radio force feeds them and think it's good music, only because it's been drilled into their heads 10 times a day every day.

I don't like Pearl Jam either, and Scott Stapp is easily has almost the same exact voice as the dude from Pearl Jam. I don't get your part about people buying music that the radio forces them to hear? You mentioned Creed=mainstream rock and most in this thread are talking about how bad Creed sucks, wouldn't that work against your argument that people listen to what their forced to hear? Besides that most people now a days get cd players in their cars so aren't stuck listening to radio. Although I don't I need to get one :(

Toby Keith is one of the biggest douchebags who has ever walked across the earth.

If I ever see him in person, I'm going to just start swinging. I just want to hurt the man. I want to see him writhing in pain. I want to see him ad Abu Ghraib being attacked by German Shepherds.

Yeah, I don't really care for the guy.

Aces you must really be high. Your argument for Pearl Jam is somehwhat valid, even though I like their earlier stuff alot. I always thought Soundgarden was the best group to come out that era. But to mention Toby Keith as good music, shatters the rest of your argument. As for Creed, they can suck on the Pope's knob.

Let me make sure I got this right:

    Good: Creed and Toby Keith

Bad: Smashing Pumpkins, Coldplay, and Rage Against the Machine.

    Wow.

He simply has no boundaries and absolutely, steadfastly refuses to compromise.

He also wears diamond sequined vests while baling hay.

Ok I don't like any of the music discussed in this thread. Especially Creed and Coldplay.

BUT, according to this, http://www.livedaily.com/news/4226.html creed's album spent 8+ weeks #1 on billboard's chart. So you guys are telling me that at that time, nobody on this board liked their album? I find that hard to believe. If they were so horrible and have always been horrible, then how in the world did their album stay on top for so long?
