Good for him. I wonder if this will interfere with any of his Senatorial duties? Also as a senator might there be some conflicts of interests in regard to legal issues that he may deal with as a senator? Also I am wondering if there is a potential separation of powers issue as being a military officer he is under the command of the Executive branch while he is also a sitting senator with perquisites and obligations that may conflict.
I'll go ahead and say that, despite some key ideological differences, I like Scott Brown. He seems like a stand-up guy and what a Northeast Republican used to be. Hope everything is safe for him in Afghanistan and he, like the every other American soldier, will come home soon with no harm done.
Nice sentiment Mr. Brown.... but you would only be a distraction and targeted by the enemy. I guess you could quit your day job and become a full time soldier, but I doubt it.... Better question.... Why the hell are we even in Afghanistan? At some point we will entirely pull out and leave a HUGE mess...
