Scola should be starting every game.He needs the real time NBA experience with the frontline guys on a regular basis.Besides he plays much better in the starting lineup vs. off the bench. His game WILL come around and as much as I like Chuck the overachiever,it's in the best interest of this franchise...the sooner he gets acclimated the better...

Maybe after we get through this tough stretch of games then I agree, but he is not playing yet for the same reason Steve isn't - he just isn't better than the others yet.

    Won't be long, though IMO!

    great observation.

he definitely isn't ready to steal minutes from hayes yet. he's getting used to games at nba speed. before the end of the season he should be ready to start.

We can't force things, its just going to lead to bad play. We are looking pretty sloppy on the offensive end, adding a rookie, even though experienced, wouldn't help much on that. With tough as the west looks we need to win games, starting Scola would lead to slow starts, just like our team last year. Hopefully Scola gets used to the NBA game and starts for us later on the season, but now isn't the right time.

I like Scola off the bench, he's a spark and can change the momentum with his hustle...

    Scola- 7 points 9 rebounds (shot 50%)
    Kirilenko- 5 pts 6 rebounds (shot 20%)

Scola is going to be invaluable to this team. The energy and passion, the all out hustle that he plays with. I am very impressed with his work ethic and selflessness. He will take a while to find his place in the NBA and on this team, but he is really everything I hoped and expected.

Scola and Yao are like the only NBA players without a tattoo.

Rick Adelman is starting Chuck because Chuck is younger and has more upside.

Calling for 27-yr-old Scola to start proves you are a damn dirty JVG Lover. :p

He played 29 meaningful minutes last night against a tough opponent. How much more "experience" does he need each game?

yeah, he really help last night, along with mike james. The second unit of James, Scola, and Bonzi has a ring of toughness to it.

Jeff already said that it's a no brainer why we should start Hayes or play Hayes with Yao. And Adelman understands that.

I'm completely fine with him coming off the bench. He's still got a way to go. Until he's completely comfortable with the NBA game (pace and refs), he's a great weapon off the bench. The ability to go small and still be competitive will do this team wonders when it plays the Phoenix's of the world.

I want scola be starting because he has more offense ability than hayes, after watch so many air-balls in laker game, i strongly doubt our starters has the offense talent to run RA's system, I mean, when you put Hayes+Battier+Alston and Prinston Offense together, just not making any sense.

Scola will eventually start. I think probably sooner than Adelman wants. I love Chuck, but for all he does, he has zero offensive game, and as we can see, that has been an issue at times.

If I was a betting man, and had to choose in what order the following would happen:

    a. James starts over Alston
    b. Scola starts over Hayes
    c. Francis plays instead of Head

at this point I'd say b., a., c. I think James should start over Alston, but I also think Adelman sees how valuable James is off the bench - he is so similar to what Bobby Jackson brought. And I don't see Francis stealing Head's minutes. And both Rafer and Chuck can't keep starting the game, so I think Scola will take over for Chuck soon...at least I hope.
