I saw this article on the Painted Area, by way of Ball Don't Lie, concerning the '09 FIBA Americas tournament. This one piece I felt was really worth noting:

I saw part of the Brazil-Argentina game. Some Brazilian player pulled off the flop of the century to send Luis to the bench with his fifth foul.

I'm glad to have Luis Scola on the Rockets, I was rooting for the Argentines but they lost that one, and the grotesque flop---even Varejao would have said, "Isso foi ridiculo, cara, ele nem te tocou"---helped the Brazilian cause.
