Averages over three games are bound to change drastically. There's no need to believe he's going to keep this up. There is also no reason to think he's not going to have a great season. Just keep an even keel about Luis. I'm sure you'll be proud of the end result.
Scola for MVP? <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/1JX57xpAikY?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/1JX57xpAikY?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>
Just checked, Scola is leading the league IN PER. Great for him, that is a stat that is usually difficult for Scola to stand out.
He is the best player on the Rockets and may be in the top 10 players on current form. He is playing at an unbeliveble level.
I think at a minimum he will finally get some love from the national media and perhaps make the all-star team. I doubt he will be voted in as a starter because of Duncan, but i believe he will decisively outplay Duncan and put up better numbers.
Scola was the leader in PER and efficiency last season, that's part from the intangibles he contributes due to his very high baskebtball IQ, yet there are fans who state that Brooks was the best Rockets player last year, just for scoring more...
If Scola is getting all those points and rebounds it means your team is seriously struggling. It means our outside shooters are missing a lot, and he is cleaning up the garbage. Let's hope for the good of the team his numbers go down and our win totals go up. DD
