I know last year there were rumors that Scola might need Microfracture knee surgery. I haven't heard anything regarding this and i presume that he is healthy and ready to go whenever the season starts ?

He had his surgery. He played great in the FIBA Americas, won a championship and MVP so I'd say he's doing great.

You missed FIBA Americas where Scola was great.

Scola played in the FIBA America's and from the looks of it, was great.

Well judging bu his recent form - the operation was a success and he i back to his old self.

We have trade him now before he starts declining. Indiana, Warriors, Bulls and Thunder desperately need a scoring option down low. Jersey and Bucks need a PF too. The other PFs on the trade market besides Scola are Josh Smith and Jefferson. Theres David West and Landry available from Free Agency as well.

We need to cash in before other teams fill their needs through other means.

Luis is fine. What we saw earlier in the year, when he was hurting and then got his surgery, was the kind of overreaction that is far to common here. I expect him to have a great season with the Rocks. If we have a season.

Also, Luis plays above the shoulders not the rim. His athleticism and vertical probably couldn't get any worse. This is not the same concern that the Amare's and Mcdyess. Scola is a gamer and I think his production will not decline with age as rapidly as the "high flyers".

Scola is not Tmac, he will play if his knee is falling off, and he only has kids with his own wife.

He is a win win guy.

Scola can have both hips replaced and it won't affect him. His game relies on craftiness not athleticism.

Whoooooosh... That was the post flying way over your head...

    Go look up Shawn Kemp

(As said above, Scola's health will never concern me. The guy will be putting up 15-8, without missing a game, for the next 5-6-7 years...)

What does concern me is the fact that Kevin Martin & Luis Scola seem to be the only two guys on our roster with significant contracts.
I hope that we can land a superstar without giving those guys up, but it seems doubtful.

While true, it seemed morality high-horse for no reason

" Scola is not Gilbert Arenas, he will rehab properly and not mess around with guns in the locker room like a thug. "

" Scola is not Dennis Rodman, he is a class guy and will only dress as a man "

" Scola is not Steve Francis, he is a professional and says no to drugs "

I keep thinking about this well. Lowry, Martin and Scola would be THE BEST/THE PERFECT support cast for a star.

The only other way we can get a star is with a lot of young talent and by talent I mean real actual talent, none of that "potential" BS (Hill, Thabeet, T-Will). We have Lee, Patterson and Bud as examples of real actual talent. Morey tired with Flynn, T-Will and Hill, they just didnt pan out, they were worth a try though. If just one of them panned out from potential to actual talent I beieve we would be instant contenders for a star.

Lee, Pat, Bud and say someone like Gerald Henderson or Taj Gibson is very very simiiar to Feilds, Gallinari, Chandler, Mozgov. So I think If Morey gets one other young gem, them we might be able to get a STAR and keep Martin, Lowry and Scola at the same time..

Actually, that was kinda TMac's problem. That, and his denial of said knee condition.

Scola has dunked in an NBA game.

    not that it matters.

    AND

there is a huge difference between microfracture surgery the OP stated and arthroscopic surgery that was actually performed.
